Philly is too high, way too high IMO... That team has proved absolutely nothing.. In fact, they're doing a disservice to Orlando by placing the 76ers above them... I truly feel Philly will disappoint this year based on expectations...I still think they'll get into the playoffs, but more in line with the 6th or 7th seed as opposed to a top 4 seed...

Cleveland is behind the top 4 Western conference teams.
Well, if 4 West teams can play in the conference finals, that will make NBA history...

I look forward to seeing how that plays out...

What does that have to do with the teams being better than Cleveland? And for your info, Power Rankings are SOLELY based on THE REGULAR SEASON. It has nothing to do with having a free ride to the conference finals because the East sucks....

I know that... All I stated was that I believe they will be one of the last 4 teams standing, so as far as them being 4th, it was symbolic of their standing...

At no point did I ever state that they will have the 4th best record in the NBA or anything along those lines...

You felt the need to climb out of the pool and make the declaration that they will be behind 4 Western Conference teams.... Great, awesome, fantastic, except the fact that it means absolutely nothing...

The only problem with this is that you really have no clue how it will turnout Mr. Phelps, yet stated it as a fact as opposed to an epic Phelps thought...

Poorly executed...

People keep rating the Rockets above the Pistons. Wow.

Dedicated_76ers_fan wrote:People who think Philly is too high, have not watched Thaddeus Young play. Thaddeus Young is continuing his ascend to being one of the best SF's in the game. Not only that. But defensively, the Sixers Starting lineup is one of the best in recent NBA history.

It'll take a few games to work itself out. But, Elton Brand and Dalembert make for one of the best one-two punches in the post downlow. Dalembert's main problem is that he can't guard the Howards and the Bynums who have that big upper strength. That's no longer a concern with Elton Brand, Reggie Evans and Theo Ratliff defending the post.

Blocks and Steals lead to transition points. And with Ratliff, Dalembert, Brand. The Sixers will be one of the best blocking teams in the NBA, hence improving a transition game that stunned the league for 40 wins.

The "shooting" problem has not been evidenced by the Sixers. Iguodala has shown a very good performance and so has Thaddeus Young. And Marshall and Rush provide the occasional 3 ball.

This team is very good, very deadly. And yes, it's alot more consistent then the Orlando Magic who live and die on DH12 and the 3ball.

Best SF in the game. Is this the list of the top 30 SF's in the league because it most certainly isn't top 10.

Wow, ESPN hyping up sexy teams like the Rockets and Cavs while ignoring smaller market teams like the Magic? No way!

Cleveland is a large market team?

And the cavs should be up there, they had 1 glaring need and filled it w/o losing anything, what other contender did that this offseason?

Funny. Rockets overrated and Jazz underrated. What year are we in? I guess it doesn't matter. The same prediction every season and the same thing keeps happening....Utah rudely dispatches Houston in the playoffs...home court or no. Not much change coming this season, apparently :)

And Houston has done what lately to deserve this high a rating? Lose in the first round and lose TMac to injury. A joke is what that is right? They can't even stay healthy long enough on court to develop chemistry. Cavs are ok but Philly that high someone is smoking crack.

"10. Mavericks 51-31 Just thinking out loud (again): If they won 51 games last season when everyone in Mavsland was so miserable, shouldn't we hold off on all those obituaries until we see how the Mavs look (and feel) under Carlisle? "

If that is the case why such a low ranking? you want them to show you first then stick around. Houston on thursday will get a real close look.

Just because a team underachieves doesn't mean they can't turn it around especially with all the positive moves they've made. I would say they had one of the top 10 off seasons in the league adding Diop Williams Green and Singleton and most importantly a smart coach that can gameplan with an offensive touch that is up there with any coach in the league. Existing players that odds say will improve their games significantly over last year Dirk Bass Howard Wright and Kidd.

This team is way underrated at this point in the season. Good because the under the radar mavs always do better than the unhumble version that thinks they are the best.

Has nothing to do with markets. It's about big names. Magic get a lot more respect than the Hawks, who last time I checked played in a pretty major city. That's because you guys have a big name player like Dwight Howard and we don't

Although it was one game, I think the media jumped on the bandwagon of the Sixers a little too quickly.

If Jermaine O'Neal is healthy, the Raptors are the 2nd team to watch in that division
