Reigning MVP:

Who's next?

I go for CP3, I don't think the Cavs will win 50 games.

The Rockets fan above your post, is an unbiased Rockets fan.

You sir, are a biased Rocket fan.

Mcgrady will be eating a nice big steak (actually, he wont because he doesn't eat protein, hence why he is so skinny, and has no strength), while watching the second round of the playoffs at home. Mcgrady will never get out for the first round.

If the Rockets win the West McGrady will probably get it

My pick is Paul. I think the Hornets will be top 2 in the West while the Cavs get like the 4th seed. MVP hasn't been awarded to a non top 2 conference team since Moses. Lebron deserved it without doubt last year, he led the league in scoring and was by far the most clutch player, his team was the worst in the league when he was injured... and he still got 4th. So yeah, unless Cleveland gets inside the Boston and Detroit bubble, I'd bet against him.

I'm going to go with Yao Ming. Ron-Ron should add some much needed toughness to that squad, but the focal point will be Yao, not McGrady. Houston will have a great regular season, and the big man will grab the MVP.

It's not even that far-fetched to mention McGrady. Houston is going to be one of the top teams in the west this year. If they manage to win the conference, he'd be the one to get it way before Yao.

I personally don't think he'll be the MVP, but don't act like such a tool just because you don't agree. And judging from your creative name, there's only one player worthy to be the MVP to you anyway.

Kobe still has a reasonably good chance of winning it.

1. Kobe Bryant
2. Chris Paul
3. Yao Ming
4. Lebron James
5. Elton Brand

I see KG playing the Duncan role, where he doesn't do as much in the regular season(similar to last season, but I don't see the voters giving him the leadership vote 2 years in a row)..

I think Pierce is going to have a heck of a year and will be a top 3 candidate.

1. LeBron James
2. Kobe Bryant
3. Chris Paul

I don't think that there is anyone else that can be seriously considered.

and this thread is back...

the lakers have looked good so far, but you can't deny CP's 21, 11 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals in the road W tonight at GSW...
