Developed properly, and the Knicks have a star on their hands.

Good size, nice touch, can slash to the hoop, decent handles. He's going to be very, very good.

What about Spencer Hawes/Jason Thompson?

12 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and six blocks for Hawes including terrific defense on Al Jefferson down the stretch. Not bad for a soft, unathletic white stiff

18 points, 10 rebounds, and a block for Thompson in only 22 minutes off the bench. Pretty good for a mid-major reach of a pick who won't adjust to the size and speed of the NBA

What about Greg Oden?

0 points, biggest bust in the history of busts. The Six Dollar Burger of busts. A-1, titanium grade bust. The Turbo Extended Remix Fighting Edition of busts. So busty, he makes Olowokandi look like Keira Knightley.

am i extrapolating the results of a single game out correctly?

If we allow threads for every player that has a great first game of the season, this board will get flooded. If you want to start a more general "early surprises kind of thread" then sure, go ahead.
