Where are you from, Hermes?

On Saturday, I got up in the afternoon to go watch my hometown college play. Went outside, it was cold but not really bad.. Walk about half a block and it decides to start snowing for the first time this season.. I didn't have a tuque or hat and I was wearing my fall jacket. Couldn't quickly walk back home either because I would have missed my bus. Anyway, about half way to the bus stop and the wind picks up like crazy and I had to walk against it, lol. It was frickin' hard wind too, at one point it actually pushed me backwards. Once the wind picked up it must have been down to 20-25 F..

Anyway, it was fine today, a little windy but definitely not as bad as Saturday around the 35-40 F range.

Funny how this is like the first Winter where it's the end of October and it hasn't really snowed yet and I can't play basketball and I don't have my car.. Every other year I've had to toss the ball into the shed and park the car early October if not late September.

It damn well better not snow until after Halloween now. :lol:

Oh and I went to watch the preseason game with Toronto facing Denver here in Edmonton. Other than the crowd being dead silent basically the whole game, it was again an amazing experience. I can't wait to go back to LA and watch the Lakeshow live.

Verb - I'm actually not Chinese (I'm Korean) but you're referring to the bbq pork buns right? I'm used to hearing it in Cantonese (char siu bao) but I know in Mandarin it's cha shao bao or something to that effect, right? Though I might be pulling that out of my a**

Miles - I'm gonna be in town around mid-December on an interview at the Cornell/Columbia combined program, hopefully we can chill around then. I might only be in town for a day or two (depends on if I get interviews at Sinai, new york eye and ear, and NYU; if so then I'll probably be around longer). Dude, NYC is looking really tempting these days... C/C provides you with housing on the upper east side from what I hear... We'll see. I'll let you know closer to the day when I know my schedule for sure.

I think you mentioned it in the first Community Thread.

And yes, in Mandarin it is "cha shao bao"... you got the pin ying down.

If anyone is interested in coming. I'll be ballin for the Carson High School Alumni team against Banning High School alumni on November 1st at Carson High School.

Good luck for the game man and like verb said, do post youtube clippings if someone tapes the game.

On a relative note, we have a 3 on 3 basketball tourney over the weekend at the Uni and I'll be looking for partners.

After watching clips of the Hollywood team we're going to play 1st i might be in for a long night. I can still play, but im definetely not in my prime anymore. These guys are all young out there clowning ppl and throwing alleyoops from halfcourt. I thought we were just gonna play the Banning alumni.

Oh well i got to take it like a man. I'll try and get some clips up next week.

weird Halloween. I don't know of any parties I'm interested in yet. Sometimes these things happen last second, but anyone have really sweet plans?

I'm going as Dr. Lickalottapuss to the dismay of my girlfriend. hahah.

Ya I got invited to this Yatch party in NewportBeach and a club in Costa Mesa, but honestly I dont think I want to go on a dam boat during Halloween.
So I decided to go to the Club party instead since one of my babies got two tables and bottle service and all of her girlfriends are HOTTTTTT.... so I will be going to that party and pep this............. they are going to have a 4000 dollars bodypaint contest, for the sexiest body paint. :eyebrows:

All I know is I hope I get some tasty candy that night, since all I have to offer is a lollipop....... :wink:

Oh and MANGS.......... You know if TONY MONTANA IS GOING TO BE THERE............ YOU GUYS ARE DEFIANTLY GOING TO SEE SOME PICS ON MONDAY.
All of my babies and the ones that need some candy too.

My bad. I'll just post some clips for you guys next week. I know im gonna get embarrassed a little because i play PG and the PG on Hollywood Hoops team is kinda like Hot Sauce who played on ESPN 2. He's gonna be lookin to clown. Im more of a fundamental type player. Like a poor man's Chris Duhon with a little post game also. I say poor man's because Duhon is in the NBA and im not.
