Wk 9 start/sit
For my flex position:
WR Eddie Royal vs. Miami
WR Calvin Johnson @ Chicago
RB LenDale White vs. Green Bay
???
My thinking...
Miami has a terrible secondary and has given up a ton of points to opposing receivers, especially on the road. However, I see Marshall benefiting the most from that.
Chicago gives up a lot of yards in the passing game, but not very many touchdowns. I've been thinking for weeks that opposing teams can simply focus on Calvin and shut him down but it hasn't happened. However, Chicago shut him down in their first match up and this time the game is in Chicago. The thing with Calvin, though, is that he'll be shut down for 3 quarters and then have 2 catches that go for big yardage and a score.
For Lendale, he gets the goal line carries and everyone seems to think that Tennessee will just run all over Green Bay, but I'm not so sure. The Packers are a lot bigger on defense than Indy, are getting all their defensive starters back healthy now, are coming off a bye week, and just had their two best defensive performances of the season. I also think that Green Bay's offense will challenge the Titans a lot more than it's been challenged so far, forcing Tennessee to possibly diversify its attack a bit more if they fall behind.

Re: Wk 9 start/sit
I assume that the Bears will bust out an early lead on the Lions, and the Lions will in turn throw a bunch more. Might be beneficial for Calvin. Thats a tough call though. LenDale has 5 TD in 2 weeks, but he is a risk cause he doesnt get many yds or touches.
I would say Johnson, but it is a really tough call and could go either way. Points for receptions might make me lean even more to Royal or Johnson.

Re: Wk 9 start/sit
This may sound obvious, but look at the matchups
PICK 3:
Jennings @ TEN
Wayne vs IND
Berrian vs HOU
Avery vs ARI
For the above question: As a general rule I always use a decent RB over a decent WR. So I would go with White, Plus he is HOT right now and playing a pretty weak GB DST.

I go everybody but Berrian. I think Minnesota will run all over Houston at home, coming off a bye. I think that St. Louis/Arizona game might be a bit of a shoot out. Wayne is a good play at home against New England, and it's pretty much impossible to sit Jennings regardless of matchup.

Re: Wk 9 start/sit
Thanks for the advice, but I'm kinda surprised that Jennings is a start vs a #4 pass rank Tenn when he has been struggling. Berrian has a way more favorable matchup and is hot! Wayne might even be hurt too now.
Since I have good Wr's are either of these trades favorable to me?
Wayne for Forte
wayne or jennings + addai or Jacobs for Westbrook and a fill in WR
my team:
cutler
favre
delhomme
wayne
jennings
berrian
avery
bryant
addai
jacobs
rhodes
stewart
mcfadden
zach miller
scobee
Bal DST

Re: Wk 9 start/sit
PPR League... Benjarvus Green-Ellis (Morris and Jordan out again) or Edgerrin James (they are playing STL although he had negative points last week)
1 point per catch, 1 point per 10 yards receiving/rushing and 6 points per TD

Re: Wk 9 start/sit
Ok slight problem
I have 2RB spots, 2 flex spots to fill with the following
Marion Barber
Chris Johnson
Ronnie Brown
Michael Turner
Maurice Jones Drew
Joseph Addai
Which 4 do i start? [and before anyone ask... i got Brown in trade for Shockey at season beginning, and Got Johnson off Waivers, drafted the rest.]

Re: Wk 9 start/sit
Hmm quite the RB core there... I would probably sit Turner and Addai but any 6 of those guys could have a monster week.
Any advice on my previous question?

Re: Wk 9 start/sit
I realize that both of them aren't good options but since I'm in a deep league I don't have thel luxury of having 6 top 15 or so RB's. So you'd go BJGE?? I currently have Edge in over him.

i hear ya man... Edge is the better RB no doubt... Hightower just eats up most of his TDs and such... only reason id be weary of starting edge...

Its ok I started Berrian over Avery anyways. I had a feeling he'd remain hot after his bye!

I am pretty sure you posted this in the wrong thread.
You are looking for the week 10 sit or start thread, it's right below this one.
