Timberpups: the future of the Timberwolves

Post#1 » by PeeDee » Sat Nov 22, 2008 8:08 pm

Hey guys. I know there is already a draft/prospect thread going, but I wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to see this.

I don't know about you, but I get tired of navigating the sports sites to check out stats for potential NBA draftees. You have to browse the team, browse the roster, and then find the player. If you're lucky, the information you're looking for is there.

Out of frustration I built my own site for tracking these players and I think it's much more convenient to use. Please don't consider this spam, I built this as a Wolves fan for myself and other Wolves fans. I spent my own $ on it and am not going to put up any ads. Just consider it a tool.

Right now it's pretty basic and I have only a handful of prospects on there. If you'd like to see a prospect or a feature added, just let me know!

Here's the link:

Enjoy!

Thanks. I already own an account with a web host that I use for my other websites. I just purchased an extra domain and host it from the same account. So basically, you need to have a web host (where you store your files) and a domain (an address that points to those files).

What about guys like Rubio, Holiday, Evans, Budinger, Mills, Collison, or Sam Young? (sorry for the long list)

I'll add Rubio when he starts playing, I guess he's been injured. I'll put up the others soon.

Thanks PeeDee! This is really helpful.

I know we are adding more work for you but how about adding Andrew Ogilvy.

If Rubio is as good a true point as advertised, I'd monitor him as a Woofie hopeful. I normally hate "prospect watching" (prefer real basketball) but since what the Wolves are doing barely resembles real basketball...

That is great man, thank you. You just saved me a bunch of time.

I didn't know Greg Monroe is now 6'11 250. I believe he was 6'10 220 last year as a senior. They used to compare him Bosh, but is his frame looking more like a younger D. Howard not...I haven't actually seen him play. He is really progressing fast and now is my new man crush. If we can land either Thabeet or Monroe to rotate with Jefferson and Love, I think we could really have something.

I think the wolves should be looking at Pat Mills with one of the later picks, and hes tearing things up so far.. would be a good feature IMO

Great site Pee Dee. I usually dont look into the draft too much early on but as bad as we are doing I constantly think about it so this helps a lot.
I like Patrick Mills a lot now. I hope we can draft him with one of the later picks like Avalanche said. Maybe we can store him over there until he is ready/ or we trade Randy Foye or Telfair to open up a spot for him. I want James Harden or DeMar DeRosen with our first pick. How many picks will we have this year>?

I want Mills and Ogilvy so we can get a huge influx of Aussie posters.
