The Giants sure have done their homework on nearly every available free agent this offseason. It seems like they host someone new every other day, but unfortunately that has not resulted in many big name signings.
According to ESPN (Insider), recently released defensive tackle Sam Rayburn (Philadelphia) will be in New Jersey sometime next week to meet with General Manager Jerry Reese and the New York Giants.
I really don't see the Giants need for Rayburn unless they are planning to trade William Joseph (who would want him?) and use him for depth. Fred Robbins and Barry Cofield are more than capable of holding down the two starting spots and recently drafted Jay Alford has looked good in camp.
How desirable could a guy be coming off a 12 tackle, no sack season?
