Bosh getting the VC treatment

Post#1 » by jzmagik » Wed Dec 10, 2008 3:47 am

It looks like Toronto has turned its back on its franchise player just like with VC. Mitchell was fired and now the media and fans are questioning his heart, and with 2010 FA looming, it feels all too familiar with VC 's departure. Thoughts?

Eh, Toronto fans... not surprising. Passionate but angry at the same time.

Maybe it shouldn't be called the VC treatment. Maybe it should be called the Toronto fans treatment. I'll say this though: the leafs and raptors definitely don't deserve the rowdiness of toronto fans.

I commend Toronto for having such a solid fan base, but they overreact way too much.

Turning their back on Bosh isn't a wise decision.

exactly. Bosh will leave Toronto, the Raptors mediocre roster, and his bi-polar fans

So you think a couple of fans on RealGM represents the entire fanbase of the Raptors...

Ignorant much?

They're called bandwagoners.. True Raptors fans were accustom to the losing style way before Bosh came there, so this losing streak should be nothing to them..

From what I remember they got frustrated when he quit on the team, said he wasn't going to dunk anymore, seemingly faking injuries which I'm pretty sure any teams fans would be annoyed with, and isn't the case with Bosh at all. I mean the guy said he was going to try for the MVP like a week ago.

Lol, funny how some random posters make similar opinions based on the OP 'facts.'
"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

This thread is absurd, and the OP has demonstrated the same reactionary reflexes as these "Bosh haters", who are only a handful of members in the first place... way to label the entire fan base...

Bosh to MIA in 2010. He'd be a great Robin for Wade :D

On some real sh*t though its pretty ironic that ever since he started talking about being an MVP the Raptors started sucking hard. Gotta put team accomplishments before individual ones

Indeed, it's definitely only a handfull of fans who actually blame Bosh. Most of us feel that Bosh is pretty much the only good thing about this team, and want to keep him around at all costs. When you have one guy who is a borderline top 10 player in the league, but his best help is an offensively decent PG who plays terrible d, and the bench is beyond useless, it's not hard to see what the problem is.

His demeanor for the last couple games has not been great, but can you really blame him with the way the team has been playing? Give us a few wins, and hopefully a trade for some actual help, and I'm sure he's back to being the passionate leader that he's been for most of the last few years.

^^you are too kind by using the word "terrible" to describe Calderon's D...

terrible is an understatement

I for one would like to see only Bosh and JO remain on this team...everyone else can suck a lemon outta town...

If we can build a strong team that centers around a maxed Bosh in 2010, and a JO signed to about 8 million per, we could be good to go...

of course, that's assuming the rest of the roster is better than average..
