How many odd stats as such can one come up with?

-Team X with a 5 Game L streak by 20+ pts, NBA record

-Player X with 7 straight games of 9 pts, 3 rebs, 5 steals, 2 blocks, 2 assts, NBA record

etc

They are facing some mediocre to bad teams but it's the manner at which they are beating them. Just as Indiana proved against LA and Washington proved against Detroit, any team can win on any given night. When I see a top team versus a bad team I usually chalk up a loss for the bad team but it's very rare that you see THIS many teams blown out this easily, this often. I mean c'mon, this has gone on for 9 STRAIGHT games, it's not like teams are laying down for the Cavs. It's surprising that no team has been able to take away what they do well. The Cavs are earning these wins. The Cavs have like a 21+ point differential right now? That's insane.

To put it simply, no team in NBA history has beat teams with this kind of point differential. This has never been done before. So once again, I'm not impressed about who they've beaten, yet. I am however impressed by the manner at which they are doing this.

Yeah, this is WAY better than a championship.

Damn, they don't play Boston until Jan. 9. Should be a good one.

Of course its better than a championship. Everyone in this thread said so.

I'm still picking Detroit to win the East because of their experience.

also in the game tonight, LeBron became the cavs all time leader in steals and Z became the cavs all time leader in rebounds.

the record for consecutive wins by 10 points or more is 10 games, the cavs have a chance to tie it tomorrow in philly.

Honestly, I'm shocked that is actually a record. I'd think it would have happened quite a few times by now. The fact it hasn't and the Cavs are the first is, I suppose, impressive. But not *that* big of a deal. *shrug*

The Cavs have been playing a lot of weak teams, but it's difficult to beat any team by 12 points consisntently. Unless you're playing the Thunder 9 games in a row, I think it counts for something.

I love the way the Cavs are playing right now, but I want to see them play a game that gets decided in the final possessions. Thus far, they've either blown out every team, or else fallen apart in the fourth quarter and fallen out of striking distance in the final 2 minutes.

This team needs to play in some down to the wire games to gain experience (as a unit) and trust in those situations. Blowing out average/bad teams is one mark of a great team, and I'm elated the Cavs finally have the talent and focus to do it, but grinding out close games against good/great teams is another mark of a great team, and this year's Cavs are unproven in this regard.

I think we'll see the first of these close victories for the Cavs tomorrow in Philly. But hey, if they can just keep blowing everyone out then I'm fine with that too, just as long as they do it in the playoffs too.

Boston have the better record but this said Cavs team is reminding me more of the 95-96 Bulls right now.
