We should do a bracket style tournament with every teams best starting 5.

If Prime Raps are good, but not all were in their primes.

Chauncy Billups
Vince Carter
Tracy McGrady
Chris Bosh
Hakeem

Not that bad for the past decade really (aside from Hakeem) Too bad they didn't have things go their way a bit more or could have been soemthing amazing.

If we're talking about all of them in their primes I'm going with this for Miami:

Pg: Gary Payton / Tim Hardaway / Steve Smith
Sg: Dwyane Wade / Eddie Jones
Sf: Glen Rice / Shawn Marion / Jamaal Mashburn
Pf: Brian Grant / P.J. Brown / Anthony Mason / Udonis Haslem
Cc: Shaquille O'Neal / Alonzo Mourning / Rony Seikaly

The weak spot on that team would be the power forwards, but they'd compliment those centers perfectly. And how about the defense? Imagine a prime Glove and Matrix with this year's version of D-Wade? Throw in those power forwards, all of whom were/are defensive specialists, and Zo? That team would be a stifling...

Celtics (assuming we are going prime and not while on the team):

C-Bill Russell / Dave Cowens / Robert Parish
PF-Kevin Garnett/ Kevin McHale / Bill Walton
SF-Larry Bird / Dominique Wilkins / Paul Pierce
SG-John Havlicek / Ray Allen / Sam Jones
PG- Bob Cousy / Gary Payton / Tiny Archibald

Head Coach: Red Auerbach
Associate Head Coach: Tom Thibodeau

This team's defense is amazing. I might even start Gary Payton at Point just so the other team of great's get's shut out for the first 6 minuets.

If we are going while they were on the team Wilkins, Payton, Archibald, Walton, and Ray Allen Drop off and are replaced by other Celtic greats like Dennis Johnson, Bill Sharman, ect...

In their primes...

Detroit Pistons:
PG: Isiah Thomas/Chauncey Billups
SG: Dave Bing/Joe Dumars/Vinnie Johnson
SF: Mark Aguirre/Adrian Dantley/Grant Hill
PF: Dennis Rodman/Rasheed Wallace/Rick Mahorn
C: Bob Lanier/Bill Laimbeer/Ben Wallace

I can't rate guys like Dave DeBusschere, George Yardley, Gene Shue, Ray Scott etc. because I never saw them play.

Isiah is the clear #1 PG with Chauncey #2. I thought about putting a third point gaurd... but IMO, those two were just head and shoulders above everyone else.

Dave Bing and Joe Dumars are automatics. Bing carried his team more so I gave him the nod, but IMO, Joe D is still underrated as a player on both ends of the floor. I thought about including Jerry Stackhouse at SG, but Vinnie Johnson just has to get that third spot. Sorry Stack.

Small Forward had quite a few good options, but I had to take the three who I felt, had the biggest impacts and/or the most talent. Aguirre/Dantley/Hill are the top 3.

It was hard to fill out the big guys. Not because there haven't been enough great bigs in Detroit, but because the bigs in Detroit have been so versatile, that it's hard to hold them in one position. Bob Lanier, Bill Laimbeer and Ben Wallace were definitely centers, but Billy could stretch the floor and knock down threes like Rasheed Wallace.

As for PFs, There were quite a few I could have included, but when you take into account stats, impact, and success Rodman, Wallace and Mahorn were my top three. Sorry Buddha, Salley, etc.

Stockton-Dwill
Brewer-Hornaceck
Dantley-AK47
Malone-Boozer
Okur-Eaton

Hornaceck is better than Brewer but the second unit needs a three point threat. Malone covers what Okur lacks defensively, same with Eaton and Boozer.

Sick big man rotation

+1, can't think of a better rotation except maybe taking Sabonis out and adding Chris Dudley haha.....

I wouldn't add a SF worth a crap anyways, I would have Roy split time between SG/SF.

A lineup of Porter/Drex/Roy/Rasheed/Sabonis would put many points on faces!

Phoenix Suns, if they're all in their prime

PG-Kevin Johnson / Steve Nash / Jason Kidd
SG-Penny Hardaway / Walter Davis / Paul Westphal
SF-Grant Hill / Connie Hawkins/ Dan Majerle
PF-Charles Barkley / Shawn Marion / Tom Chambers
C-Shaquille O'Neal / Amare Stoudemire / Alvan Adams

That is an absolutely wicked starting lineup, and the bench isn't too shabby either.

Wow that looks amazing.
