What's Worse for Atlanta?
a) Michael Vick facing possible jail time and suspension
b) Trading away your "much hyped" back up only a few months earlier
c) Joey Harrington may become your starting quarterback

I am still happy with the Schaub trade. We gave up a guy who would have walked anyway at the end of the year and in return the Falcons were able to move up to get a top de in Anderson, and they got one of the top o-linemen in the draft. Harrington with a good line and a top 3 te to dump the ball to and one of the best 1-2 punches at rb, will be a good player.

I can only say, don't get your hopes up. He had the skills to be a great QB, unfortunately we've never seen it at the NFL level. Theres very few teams that he's ever been impressive against, one of those teams being Arizona, but thats about it. It really don't say much for his accompishments and he's been given plenty of chances to prove himself. So unless he ever decides to play good consistent football he'll never be much more in this league than a backup.

I'm sure they'd like Schaub now, but the fact is they got a pretty nice return on the guy. Maybe he'll be as good as everyone thinks, but he hasn't proven it yet. Also, I'm not convinced Harrington is as bad as people think.
I'll wait until you guys have to watch him as your week 1 starter. Trust me, you'll be convinced. I don't think he's horrible, he has the ability to throw the ball, he just can't make good decisions on a consistent basis.

Michael Vick couldn't pass to your **** ass recievers, you think Harrington will do better? Keep in mind hes in a completely new system and will have to get adjusted to it.
Keep eating the cheese. Harrington sucks. The Falcons are doomed and will end up with a top 5 pick which will most likely be Brian Brohm.

Did you watch any of the Atlanta games? The receivers didn't catch the ball nor did they attempt to go to the ball. Everyone is quick to blame Vick but his receivers deserve most of the blame.
The best example would be the New Orleans game at Atlanta. It's the game that Mike flicked off the New Orleans fan, not the Falcon FANS, like the media loves to project. During that game Vick did everything but it felt like his teammates were playing against him. Even Alge was unable to catch the ball during that game.

Trading Matt Schaub
#1)We didn't have a choice
#2)That will hardly bite us in the behind with the Oline he has and the fact that he made a name for himself in one game vs Patriots practice squad.
It's Roger Goddell that hurts the most.
Freaking basterd.
He caved in to the Peta protestors and with the help of the pressure from the media, the most promising season of Michael Vick's career ruined before it ever began.
This whole off-season all the right pieces were put around him.
The coach who would air it out and let Vick to audible.
Upgrades on the Oline and Wr corp.
Upgrades defensively in personnel and coaching
Easy schedule with 12 games in domes and all tough games at home
This was going to be Vick's year
And just like that, It's over.
Yet Vick's teammate who beat a dog to death with a trophy is allowed to stay on the team
Go to hell Goddell

I wholeheartedly agree. I bet you Goodell was the one that introduced Vick to fighting dogs in the first place. He seems like that kind of guy.

Regardless, of how bad his recievers are...He is a terrible QB period, he is terrible at checking off, his accuracy is terrible, his football IQ is terrible, and he has improved any of those aspects since he has come into the league.
Yes, his recivers are terrible, yes they make mistakes. But as much mistakes as they made last year, you can look and point to just as many under/over thrown balls, inaccurate passes, or my favorite him staring at crumpler the entire time, and if he is coverd he either takes off and runs for 5 yards, or throws it away, gets it deflected or picked.
Vick is a bad QB, who happens to be a great athlete. The only thing that seperates him from the likes of Harrington, Grossman, ETC.
