Training Camp Opens Up

Post#1 » by Next Coming » Thu Jul 26, 2007 1:26 am

A lot of teams are scheduled to open Training camps tomorrow.

Which means there is only 43 days left until Opening Weekend and more importantly we get closer to HBO's Hard Knock Lifes featuring the Kansas City Chiefs and Herman Edwards.

Can you feel the excitement?

Drop some knowledge about your hometown team here or share some quotes from one of your favorite players.

I go to Skins camp a lot. I live about 10 minutes away from it so I usually drive down every oppurtunity I can get as long as I have someone coming along. Its always a great experience.

The Skins training camp will be rough this year. Joe Gibbs and Gregg Williams have a chip on there shoulder. Gibbs has never had a back to back losing season and he'll continue the tradition this year. Our defense for as much it has been critisized is much more talented this season than it was in 2004 and 2005 when were ranked in the top 10 and considered one of the best.

I can't wait. I <3 football.

Definetly. If you can get people to come along and a lot of people attend your teams TC, its a blast. Just bring your own beer etc. Team concession stands are demonic ripoffs. A friggin tiny ass football for 15 dollars. Insane!!!

I just want to experience a Football atmosphere...

Being a Football fanatic in a Non-NFL city sucks... all I'm limited to is Online coverage and NFL Network coverage...

But I'm gonna see if I can try and get to the Bills vs. Titans Preseason game *fingers crossed*

Saint's have all of our rookies signed, and no major injuries, so far so good.

Bears have EVERYONE signed (Briggs, Tillman extended, all rookies signed). I don't think we have any notable injuries coming into camp either.

We have no challengers in the NFC. It's gonna be one HELL of a Superbowl between us and the Pats if both teams are healthy.

Training camp is a great place to go and meet players. The Skins camp is a great experience, outstanding facility. Ditto the Browns, who used to have a completely open camp--you could sit right behind the sideline and hear everything.

3 most important camps this year:
Cleveland, getting their top 3 rookies signed and up to speed as all will be starting as soon as they are ready
Titans, getting Young comfortable with his wideouts and finding a RB who is worthy of being a backup, let alone starting
49ers, blending in all the new faces and adjusting to a new offense for a team that feels they are ready to make a quantum leap forward.

The first day of Bills camp was pretty fun. Peerless Price has a reported disclocated finger and J.P. Losman didn't participate in any activited due to a back strain.

Losman said he was a little too anxious to get to Training Camp and was a little overzealous lifting weights on Tuesday. He's listed day to day.

Paul Posluszny has already found himself taking First team reps at the ILB position.

:banghead:

-Michael Vick is done for year (or more)
-Brian Finneran is done for year (or more)
-Warrick Dunn injured
-Rod Coleman injured
-Demorrio Williams injured
-Jimmy Williams caught with marijuana

Just some of the great things this off season has brought the Atlanta Falcons.

But regardless I'll be at training camp with the crazy shirtless and shoeless guy that knows every statistic of every player on the team. I also need to think of something I can do to **** with all the crazy PETA people. I'm thinking of bringing the grill and cooking hamsters and other small animals.

I figured of everyone on the forums an asian would enjoy that post.

But yeah, we have Harrington. I'm not optimistic, but he could have just been a victim of his previous teams. Chris Chandler part two?
