If Strahan Retires?

Post#1 » by ItsaVC3 » Sat Jul 28, 2007 4:11 pm

If he does retire we should go after simeon rice so we have osi on one side and rice on the other instead of having Tuck at that postion. what do u think?

why? we have the youth at the end position in kiwanuka and tuck. no need to bring in an overpriced player on the downside of his career

Rice plays the same position as Osi...plus Rice is bad against the run...I rather take my chances with Tuck that is when ever he gets healthy again.

kiwi is movin to OLB.

we should defintely sign rice. it's a low risk high win situation. coaches konw more then us. so if tuck isn't getting a real chance, there's areason.

If Strahan retires (which i highly doubt), we should move Kiwanuka back to DE. With Kiwi learning a whole new position, it would be better to move him back to his original position where he has shown he can be effective. But more then likely, Strahan will be back so their isnt anything to worry about.

Osi has publicly stated that if we got Rice, Osi will NOT move to the other side of the line. Not sure if that changes the Giants' thinking. I'd prefer to have a guy that can stop the run but lets face it, we are in August...any viable option is probably in another team's camp. For a team in need of a DE, Rice would be a solid pick up at this point. This is why what Strahan did was BS.
