Yeah I seen my reply sandwhiched in there don't know how but my bad.

Rag time. let me ask you this. What is the goal and dream of every professional player? I would hope it would be to be the best in thier field and to win a ring. Haslem has his and is one of the best at what he does.
Sure every one want's to dream of being a super star. gettin the big contract, the hot chick and big house all the bells and whistles. But lets be honest not every one can be the superstar. some have to be role players. Now you can shove statistics down my throat until the cows come home. It won't make lick of difference. Haslem started at the bottom and worked his up (not to the top) but he got his ring and his money by fitting in. If he was a cry baby and causing a stink the heat would of traded his ass years ago. but he is not. did you notice how the Heat fans said no to this deal? Why would they not want to give away a guy who is so terrible as you make him out to be? They don't care about his stats or his numbers. they care about what he provides outside of numbers.
Hey you can post all the clips of Haslem stuffing up that you want. But at the end of the day michael jordan missed over 12000 shot's so nobody's perfect.
Can Frank coach the kids?

Haslem didn't start at the bottom. He began his career as a starter. And his team sucked.... until they benched him. Haslem started his first 18 games, compared to Swift, who started a total of 20 games in his first 2 seasons combined. Unlike Haslem, Swift has actually improved over the years. He believed that if he improved, he might get greater opportunity  That has so far turned out to be untrue.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/376 ... ?year=2003

But I agree with you, if Haslem had expressed dissent over his benching they probably would have gotten rid of him by now. Some managers or coaches need players like Haslem around, while others do better with players who are more ambitious.

Ironically, it is the 'lunch pail' type guys that Stromile has always been benched for... Tony Massenburg, Lorenzen Wright, Juwan Howard, Josh Boone, Yi Jianlian... As far as I'm concerned, these guys all stink, and none of these guys has resulted in success. In every case, I think Stromile would be the better choice.

And Haslem giving up the board to Nowitzki wasn't the point of the video... it was to show what very good defense looks like: blocking shots and actually providing a presence, which Zo does and which Haslem doesn't do.

Haslem would fit great with the Nets, but only because they have a bad coach  And Haslem has a ways to go yet before he has as many rings as the great Bill Wennington.

So Haslem didn't start at the bottom? The kid had to play in Europe for 2 years because he was so fat? He had to trim down and work his ass off, got lucky that Pat Reilly invited him to camp. Look at the players Reilly has started over the years, he drools over hard workers that do what he says. He was just in the right place, right time and approaches the game with the right work ethic.

I think the Earth will stop revolving on it's axis if you ever post in a thread not about Stro or not pull everything back to him. I know this thread is about Stro, I'm just saying.

That's right, Haslem didn't start out on the bottom. He began his career in the NBA as a starter.

That's great that he worked hard enough to overcome his weight problem and trim down. Stromile Swift has worked hard enough to never even have that problem. Instead of getting into shape, Stromile has been able to improve his game on the court, which Haslem has never done.

After getting into this conversation, I checked out a Udonis Haslem mix to see the kinds of things he's capable of. There are quite a few excellent blocks in that mix. He shows great effort on the court in making those plays. He is capable of making athletic plays and really being a factor defensively. He has no business having a 0.4 career blocks per game average in 31 minutes per game. Even with Alonzo Mourning and Shaquille O'Neal not around this season, he has not stepped up his game and his blocks per game is the same as last season

In this Sean Williams mix you can see him several times totally flat footed, making no effort whatsoever to foul or block Williams' shots.

Credit to Haslem for losing weight to become lighter and more mobile, but shame on him for putting forth mediocre effort in games and not playing to his potential.

ragtime

perhaps try watching a miami game rather than a few stats or a mix tape.

Haslem is the type of player EVERY team wants. I liked Swill's potential last season but you won't get a starter for him at the moment let alone UD.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders
