Blip from ESPN about Tyreke Evans:

espn.com wrote:Tyreke Evans (29), Memphis. Credit Tigers coach John Calipari with perhaps the in-season personnel move of the year. After a 6-3 start, he moved the 6-foot-6 Evans to point guard, and Memphis hasn't been beaten since. Evans has handled the move with aplomb, averaging 16.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists on the season. Playing point has helped rein in Evans' spotty perimeter shooting while simultaneously improving the team's offensive flow. His scoring has dipped the past couple of weeks, but that's likely just a blip.

Doubt he would last to Miami's 21st pick, but maybe a package of picks, or another trade could move us to the 12-16 range to pick him up?

Or just use our own top 10 pick on him.

Miami's pick is currently 18 if I counted right with alot of room to move either way.

Thought I counted 21st earlier today, but I could be wrong. I think I sorted by games behind, which might have put me off.

We're currently sitting at 7th and I think that's a little high to grab Evans. Although if Thabeet and Holiday are both gone, Evans might be might next favorite choice, I might have to look for a 3rd option as the Wolves continue to dominate the crap of the NBA and inch up towards that dreaded 11th spot.

I have them at 17 with 26 Wins at this point. Here's to hoping for a Heat collapse in March.

Barring a lottery win, Aldrich/Evans/Maynor is the draft I want right now.

Miami is 5th in the East and has a worse winning percentage than the 8th seed in the West. Tha't 12 teams better than them and puts them at 18th in the draft.

Yeah, I just go by win totals. Since at the end of the season, that's all that counts in most cases. Flawed, I know.

Another flaw would be that even if the 9th best team in the West has a better record than Miami, they'd draft in front of them (assuming Miami makes the playoffs).

True. I'm hoping they skid and we can get pick 15 or better from them.

Watch a whole Memphis game when you can... then you can see his tremendous potential and his worrisome flaws in all their glory.

Yeah, I think ESPN and CBS Sports may have some. I'm sure there will be more Memphis games on TV as well.

Thanks. TV doesn't help me unless they are on the Bemidji public TV station. :(

I'm with PeeDee..

Evans is very intriguing ..I'd love to have him if we were top 10.

Not to confuse anyone any further, but Evan Turner has been going on a freaking tear lately.

26 pts, 12 rebs, 7 asts, 0 tos against #13 Purdue

I like this kid a lot and for some reason he flies under the radar.

Mullens had a nice game too.

I like Evan "the head" Turner too.

(I just made that up. : ) If we draft him, his nickname could be "The Head," and the Target Center could chant "Head! Head! Head! every time he scored. Can we make this happen?)

I'm afraid he may play himself up in to the lottery though.

I am starting to see more prospect value in the late 1st rd at the swing spot. But do we want to use a pick there?

Evan Turner is turning heads (nice) I have heard "Josh Childress" and "Sean Elliot" but the question is where do you play him (or T.Williams) we will have Gomes-Brewer-Miller-Carney-Cardinal all under contract pending a trade. (and some want Marvin Williams too)

I still say we draft BPAN4 but we need to move things around.

If we end up trading Miller and don't get a super athletic swingman in either the lottery or via FA, I'd love to get either Turner or Buddinger in that mid/late portion of the first round.

Buddinger is a bust.

Why move Miller if not for an upgrade somewhere?
