What about Duhon?

I think that if you have a dominate offensive player next to curry and he just needs to be a compliment player then he will have a very good career. As a wolf he could be that guy. Better in a back up, but still would benefit strongly from Al.

btw, Capt. Kirk is an underrated defender. He is often considered one the top-3 defensive pg's today. He is smart and works his beatle-looking butt off.

Holiday will be fine. He might be a role player, but he would be a role player that scores 10-14, plays good defense and sets up the offense well. I see him as a better Antoino Daniels and I think I am cool with that. In this draft after Rubio(if there) and Griffin it is a crapshoot.

Why will Curry have offensive problems? Nobody is saying he will put up 30 ppg, but I see no reason why he won't be able to be an effective offensive player. He's quick, crafty, smart, runs off screens ready to shoot, has unlimited range and good court vision.

Curry's scoring ability reminds me of Eric Gordon, but with less athletic ability.

Both quick releases, both above average 3-point shooters, both stuck between a 1 and a 2, both can create their own offense.

I wouldn't mind having Curry if he falls into the Miami pick region.

He could end up being a great sixth man for us in the future.

I think Curry's a better passer than Gordon, though.

Thabeet dropped 25 points, 20 rebounds, and 9 blocks on Seton Hall today.
Aminu had 17 points and 9 boards against Florida State.
Holiday had 6 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals against Arizona.
Tyreke Evans currently has 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists against Southern Mississippi.

^^ and that wasn't even the best game of the day, Griffin w/ 40 and 23 vs TexTech. J Hill had a good day too, the bigmen were going off. Monroe even went 8/9 on his FGA for 16 and 11 and Aldrich had 21/7.

this draft is gonna be tough on teams to figure out, other than Griffin being #1 pick, there's really no clear answers.

If the draft happened today, I could see about a half dozen different guys being reasonable options at the #2 pick

I think that the combine is going to have a bigger impact on the draft this year than it does on normal years, too. There are a few guys that projected top ten that don't appear to be great athletes, so their draft position is either going to be helped greatly or killed by their numbers.

DSW--I just said that. Outside of Griffin/Rubio this is a crapshoot.

btw, Gordon will likely never go to pg. Curry could. Curry has a higher BBIQ and has been playing the pg spot this year.

All the draft's potential bigs put up monster numbers today: Griffen, Thabeet, Monroe, Hill and Aldrich.

I saw half of the UCONN game, wow, Thabeet's really improving. As much improvement as he made from his frosh to his soph year, he's made that and more going into this year. He even showed a nice jumper from 15 feet, very nice form. Doesn't attack rebounds (or rebounding position) hard enough, not fluid in the post and needs to learn to finish with his left, but we have to remember he's only been playing ball for four or five years, and he's defensive presence is absolutely incredible. I'm beginning to think he might be number three on my wish lift after Griffin and Rubio.

I'm going to keep harping on Chase Buddinger, if we trade Miller and Budds is available with either the Boston or Utah (if we get it) pick, he'd be a real nice fit.

Rev calls "dibs on 1st props" on the Crapshoot angle re: this upcoming draft. 8-) status duly noted

What would you think about the Wolves if this happened:

trade Miller/Cardinal for Szczerbiak. No future picks, no players
Ollie, McCants, Collins, Carney, Booth all walk after the year

Get picks 5/20/30 in the draft

Draft Evans/Collison/Hansbrough

Foye/Telfair/Collison
Evans/Foye/Brewer
Gomes/Brewer/Evans
Jefferson/Smith/Hansbrough*
Love/Hansbrough*/Madsen

*because I project Hansbrough as a player like Love in his first few seasons; the difference being Love will exceed that and Hansbrough will be in that same range for most of his career. I don’t see a more productive alternative at that low range.

Evans/Collison/Hansborough really depresses me for some reason. It's not terrible, but not sexy either.

Those are all my last options at the respective picks. Evans is the only one that i would be ok with, and even then.

but if the Wolves look to watch their pocket book and don't get lucky in the lotto, thats the kind of team we could have.

I'd go with something more like Curry or Lawson/Budinger/Sam Young with picks 7/20/30

After Griffin and Harden I think Lawson is the closest thing to a sure thing. I could see him averaging 15 and 8 easily while being a very good defender.

Lawson at 7? That scares me.

Assuming we keep dropping, the 5/20/30 scenario would look great if it was something like Thabeet/Evans/Summers, but I don't think any of those guys are available at those picks, so maybe Holiday/Summers/Jordan.

I'm more partial to a Holiday/DeRozan/Jordan draft, but I wouldn't mind Summers at all.
