That is true. If you were expecting more the it certainly can be considered a let down.

That's weird. Boston gave up a lot to get Recchi and Pittsburgh gave up nothing to get Guerin.

Meh, Hunwick clearly passed Lashoff, Bruins management really was not too high on him. Karsums was just an AHL player, thats it. plus that 2nd rounder we get, that could be nice.

Hejduk apparently going to be gone from Colorado (In French)

If Montreal is the team that gets him then it's not a good move for them. They don't need another skilled winger, they need a power forward down the middle to put some fire into that dressing room.

Pitts would knock off Philly.

I don't think so, Philly has some good defensive forwards that could neutralize Crosby and Malkin.

And the same can be said for the Pens.

Too bad they have no defense or goaltending.

If you're complaining about giving a 3rd rounder for Bill Guerin, you are one pessimistic hockey fan. ;)

Philly? Pens own the Flyers. The Flyers don't have what it takes to win a playoff series against the Pens and that is goaltending and defense.

EDIT - I'd even take the Pens over Washington with the additions now.

I don't see that happening, just too much skill on that Caps team. Maybe if (MAYBE) Fleury stays consistent and plays well, you'd have a chance.

I thought he said he wasn't waiving his NTC whatsoever. . .

Wonder what he's worth.

OK, I didn't know Boston was so low on Lashoff. In that case, both trades are good values for both teams.

Unless you're the Habs, and all french Canadian goaltenders always stand on their heads vs. us -_-

Washington has talent up front, but their defense and goaltending is suspect. Playoffs are a whole new game from the regular season.

No, you were right, at first sight, you think, damn we gave all this up? It is steep, but I don't mind it.

Man, speaking of Florida, I wish Gainey would make a move for Horton.

Washington is all about offense. No matter who they play, they will always score goals. So it's like I said, it depends on whether or not Fleury plays well with consistency.

I don't think Horton is going anywhere. Florida would be dumb to trade him.

Obviously, but I'd give up a boatload for him. Kid is a stud, and such a good contract.

Why do the Kings do any of the things they do?

Gaborik, Brown, Kopitar would look nice, though.
