Skiles cared about it. He wasn't happy about it at all.

According to the J/S, Villanueva wasn't fined.

I understand blogs, and Facebook, but Twitter seems to cross the "top of mind nonsense" line. That said, let people do as they will on their free time. I'm fine with Skiles banning Twitter in his locker room, but anything more than a slap on the hand and a "don't do it again," would be ridiculous.

it's not hard to imagine that being a hard ass about inconsequential stuff is part of what leads to skiles' short tenures

I think it's easy easy to see why Skiles being that type of a hard ass turns his teams into winners on a consistent basis.

At the end of this season he'll have four winning seasons in his eight years. Consistent winners? Ehhhhh.......stretching it.

Everywhere he's been, his teams have posted winning seasons. That's consistency to me. It may not have happened in every season but his teams do tend to win. He does have a career winning percentage over .500 despite last season's disaster in Chicago and a losing record so far this season. He's a pretty damn good head coach.

he's a great coach, but there's a trend on how and why he seems to exit each situation.

Yup. When/If some players turn against Skiles I would trade all of them and keep Skiles. I want Skiles to be our coach for next 20 years and become our version of Sloan. And during that 20 years I would trade/let go any player that he doesn't like (CV?) and trade for any player that he does like (Ridnour, RJ). Basicly I would give this team to Skiles and let him make it how he likes.

I agree. I think he's a lot like Karl in that regard. But given how awful this team has been, I'll gladly take whatever Skiles has to deliver for however long it lasts.

"We're talking about Twitter here," Villanueva said. "We should be worried about Orlando."

Twitter? We talking bout twitter? Twitter? Come on man, twitter? We talkin bout twitter?

"We made a point to address Charlie and the team that it's nothing we ever want to happen again," Skiles said. "We don't want to blow it out of proportion, but anything that gives the impression that we are not serious and focused at all times, is not the correct way we want to go about our business."

"My personal opinion is, it (Twitter) doesn't have any place in the locker room," Skiles said. "The locker room is a private place for the players. Once you get out of the locker room or whatever, I'm not into getting into guys' personal lives."

I don't really think this is a big deal in any regard. It wasn't a big deal when CV did it, its not a big deal that Skiles prohibited it.

CV wasn't fined or suspended or anything ridiculous, I don't think Skiles is out of line at all for asking that locker room stuff stay in the locker room.

When I "followed" CV 2 days ago, he had 700 followers. I JUST saw on ESPN the story about "Bucks ban Twitter from locker room" and it says CV has 1600 followers as of Tuesday afternoon. I go on Twitter and see that CV has almost 3000 followers!

The media attention has definitely gained him a lot of attention on Twitter

Edit: Meanwhile, Bogut's latest tweet "How long till I get to 1000 followers?" haha

If Bogut wants 1,000 followers he should just spend the whole game tomorrow posting.

"Aww, sweet 3 by Bogans."

"Dwight Howard just pissed his pants when he saw Malik Allen roaming the paint."

He probably doesn't like Chavez very well......I'll be curious if the sanctions hold.

So basically... If this thread was never made..

JSonline would never have the story.. and CV wouldn't have been yelled at. :)

The story is on Yahoo now too I believe. Plus, the Bucks are all over Twitter. I'd say there's about a 100% chance Skiles was going to find out about it. But as far as the JS never finding out, yea I think that's a pretty good bet. :)

Now Charlie's Tweet is on NBA.com.

They even spent about 7mins talking about it on NBA TV, you can see the vid here: http://www.nba.com/video/channels/nba_t ... index.html
