The lakers hate to lose a franchise player but they bring in KING JAMES to the best city in the NBA, we wish kobe success in all his future endavers and thank him for the many years of excitement he has brought to the city of LA.

Bynum, what can i say we saw a lot of potential in him but the injuries are piling up and he is only 21. So we wanted to to rid of his contract before it hit into double figures.

This move also frees up a lot of cap space for the 2010 offseason to resign lebron as well as another superstar. Ben Wallace brings leadership as well as a 2010 exp contract

Darnell Jackson is a rookie that has not seen a lot of playing time in CLE but will be seeing some time at the four.

New Lakers Starting Five

Fisher
Vujacic
Lebron
Odom
Gasol

we hope what lebron did in CLE with no supporting cast can be exceeded in LA with a stellar starting five.

btw the lakers are looking for a starting SG
Charlotte Hornets

New Jersey and Cleveland have reached agreement on a trade.

NJ out / Cleveland in:
Vince Carter - $14,724,125
Yi Jianlian - $2,986,080
Total - $17,701,205

Cleveland out / NJ in:
Josh Smith - $10,000,000
Sasha Pavlovic - $4,500,000
Total - $14,500,000

(14,500,000 * 1.25) + .1 = 18,125,000 > 17,701,205; deal works

NJ accepts. We like the Lopez/Smith combination on our front line, and by the time we're ready to compete Carter will be headed downhill.

Cleveland accepts. We are thrilled to pair together Kobe Bryant and Vince Carter, to go along with David Lee and Andrew Bynum down low. While Vince has a long contract, we feel that his overall skillset is one that will help him compete at a high level throughout the duration of his deal. We also feel Yi will be a perfect 6th man for this team.

DET and NYK have a trade to announce:

Danilo Gallinari-$2,873,520
CLE 2nd 2010
for
Amir Johnson $3,666,667
DET 1st rounder 2009 (no protection)

After losing Thad I have a gapping hole at the SF spot. Although Gallo has had some back problems this year, its his rookie season and he is 19. We love the talent there and he fits my teams MO. Amir is nice, but I have Amare and Speights at the PF position, he wouldn't get any playing time. We don't mind losing the pick we still have PHI's and may be getting another 2 in this draft in another trade. So far Stucky/Iggy/Gallo/Amare/Speights.

New York accepts, while we are sad to part with such a promising young player in Gallinari we feel that one of the players we are targeting in this years draft should go around the mid teens, this allows us to draft him along with adding a nice young player in Amir to the mix.

The Celtics accept. We're excited to start off the rebuilidng process by getting a young stud to anchor our frontcount in Horford, a young big man with a lot of potential in Hickson, a 1st round pick, and a bunch of salary flexibility.

Atlanta accept, they get their 3rd all star in KG who will anchor their defense and bring leadership and hopefully lead this team to a championship :P They also get 2 small contracts to fill the rooster next season in order to avoid going deep into luxury tax.

Is this trade approved?

New York Accepts, Ray Allen is a current all star in the league and will fit well next to Mike Bibby in the offense, also his contract expires in 2010 so no extra salary was taken on. While we lose a promising young guy in Chandler we felt this was too good of a deal to pass up, dumping Mobley and his useless contract was also a high priority on this list of moves for this season.

roster currently standing at
Mike Bibby/Nate Robinson/Stephon Marbury
Ray Allen/Daniel Gibson/Joe Crawford
Quentin Richardson/
Al Harrington/Brian Cardinal
Amir Johnson/Solomon Jones/Courtney Sims

San Antonio and Houston have a deal to announce.

San Antonio Trades:

Manu Ginobili ($9,905,248)
Drew Gooden ($1,400,000)
2009 2nd Round Pick (HOUSTON)

Houston Trades:

Shane Battier ($6,373,900)
Luis Scola ($3,100,667)

Houston Max Incoming: $11,843,209
Houston Actual Incoming: $11,305,248

San Antonio Max Incoming: $14,131,560
San Antonio Actual Incoming: $9,474,567

SA Reasoning: Manu is a huge impact player, possibly the best player off the bench in the league, but San Antonio is looking to rebuild and Scola a great piece to do that with, while Battier is a very nice trade chip for building in the future.

It sucks losing Manu, but we feel that Scola makes Duncan more moveable, and Battier will fill his role nicely.

Contingent on the Amare trade going through (works out salary wise but my trades seem to get vetoed).
Waive Shelden Williams, Jason Collin, to make roster room.
Love (3,163,680)
E.Snow (7.313exp)
Madsen (2,630,000)
Skinner (1,262,275)
W.Herrmann (2,000,000)
Miami 2009 1st
Utah's protected 1st
Detroit's 2011 (unprotected 1st) = 16,368,955 x 1.25 + 100,000 = 20,561,193
for

Amare (15,070,550)
R.Evans (4,640,000)  = 19,710,550

We dump Evans and though we lose Amare, we may have lost him in 2010. We don't like the injury history, the whining about being 'the man', and are very high on Love (11/10 in his rookie season I think?). We love his passing ability on this team as well. The two firsts will help in the rebuilding. We also get our 2011 pick back. Stucky/Iggy/Gallo/Love/Speights. Three first rounders (none of them mine), and 20+ mill to spend in free agency. We like the future of our team.

Doesn't work due to salary implications. egh.

Minnisota agreed and then once others have pointed out that roster sizes will not match and Detroit will need to add another player, which will make the money not match, I have requested to put this deal on hold untill the other trades involving these two teams have been finalized. I still want to do the deal, but a few minor details need to be adjusted for it to work for Minnesota, Detroit and the league rules.

Minnesota is happy to add Amare with Big Al. We feal the twin towers are perfect compliments to eachother and teamed up with Gomes should make one of the best front courts in the league (plus Max off the bench). We regret losing Love, but feal Amare is a better fit. We did not like giving the picks but we still kept our top 5 pick and added a ligit all star who is only 26

Minor adjustment. Kevin Ollie will be added (min contract, expiring) to make it work in terms of roster space)

when did the 76ers waive marshall i dont see anything mentioning it on their roster page, i know hes not on their roster anymore so he probably did waive him, but shouldnt gms keep track of the players they waive for salary cap purposes.

B/c i would love to waive adam morrison but im not because of his 4.5M salary, but if i can sweep it under the carpet can i, cause it looks like a few gms are doing this

No its fine leave it, I can't take him back once he was traded, he was filler anyways. Plus I need to make sure the Amare trade goes through so the Love trade will have to wait.

All transactions including waived players are supposed to be kept track of on each team's post.

I am very suprised that Phoenix was allowed to make any trades so far since they don't have their salary info(or any other info besides player names) listed yet.

We should not be allowing any deals to go down unless all teams involved in a trade have their roster/salary/transaction info completely updated beforehand. That is how we usually roll...
