Calgary getting back in the series. Great game to be at! Arguably the best home building during playoffs. This series is finally getting some teeth. Both first games were too close for the rough stuff to get out of hand. . .true to form, all it took was one game that was out of reach. Very good series so far.

sh00n. . . .how did they put Price back in net? I am a fan of Price, and really hope he gets traded as i dont think he will bounce back in Mon. They put too much pressure on a young kid too fast, and now they are paying for it. I hope he gets moved and gets a chance to prove himself without the weight of the world on his shoulders.
Back to the question. . . how are they sticking with him? They have arguably the best back up in the East. .why not give him a shot, especially with all the injuries? Just my opinion, but if they go with Price in game 4 and get swept, Gainey should move on completely. I feel bad for the guy (more personally than professionaly), but if he sticks with "his guy" and it cost them a sweep . . . in the year of all years. . . . I think changes will be a lot bigger than just players.

Gainey knows that Price is going to be a stud goaltender and it'll probably throw him faster into his progression to throw him into the fire like this two years in a row. I'm still confident in Carey. He lets in some bad goals but man, Patrick Roy would let in some bad ones too with the defense we play. The guys in front of Carey have to give him a chance to succeed before he can give the team a chance to.

Gainey hasn't gone to Halak yet because it basically looks like, "Well, we've seen what Carey can do, might as well use Jaro!", and that looks bad.

Price is going to be awesome in Montreal. We just need improve the overall team before the entire blame is played on him. The kid is 21 years old, you never trade that away.

I am very proud of the Boston Bruins they are just playing with so much heart.

I was very disappointed in the Montreal fans last night when they booed the us anthem, there better people than that...

If you go to Game 4, could you tell the Saddledome crowd to not boo everytime there's a hit along the boards, please?

Ive gotten suspended for far less then that. Snayr, if you let this **** fly where anyone thats a Habs fan can come on here and spout off on another poster, then your not doing your job. Guranteed If I called Shoon a pompous Tool, id recieve a suspension withing minutes.

Well excuse me Mr.Griff, I'm so sorry I had a my last final today and hadn't checked the board since my last post because I was pissed at the Habs and had to study. Why don't you stop the backseat modding, and let me worry about what I am and am not doing, alright? And apparently from what I have seen, whatever he did have, he edited it out so... sorry for not being a psychic? And honestly, I wouldn't suspend anyone for calling someone a pompous tool, I'd give you a warning... REGARDLESS of which team you cheer for. Geez man, get a grip!

The next time you tell me how to do my job though Griff, I'll see to it that you do get a little time off. If you want to become a moderator, ask someone about it and then if you get the gig, you can do all the modding you want.

As for the "haven't won a cup in 40+ years", and golfing remarks... truth hurts, doesn't it? ;)

Whatever. Most french-canadiens are stuck up pricks anyways. There's a minority of them who are actually civil and will even try and talk english with you, but for the most part they're the most arrogant and disgusting people I've ever seen. And if the Habs weren't in Montreal I probably would've moved by now.

Meh, I saw some good looking girl Habs fans at the game. But I was then reminded..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gBc84L7-Vs

Montreal has the most beautiful girls in Canada, IMHO, until you hear them speak. They either sound like men speaking french or have that nasty accent speaking english. It's a lose/lose situation. That's why I stuck to my roots and have a native girlfriend now.

Hey now, I like that french accent when they try to speak english xD I'm dating a french girl, so maybe that's why. *shrug* But still... Montreal/Quebec has some of the finest girls in the world.

As for the booing of the National Anthem... completely stupid. I definitely don't agree with it, but all you can do is not join in on it. Kind of hard to drown out the other 21,270 fans booing alll by yourself :/

Well Philly looks done. I really thought they'd put up more of a fight but I have a hard time seeing the series not ending in 5. Pittsburgh has looked better then I expected.

Detroit rolls again. I don't really know what Columbus can get do to slow the Wings down. They're flying right now and Osgood has been very good.

sh00n wrote:All I know if the Habs players, and coaching need a complete and total overhaul. My dream off-season:

- Gainey moves back up to GM, Pat Quinn hired as head coach. Patrick Roy hired as an assistant/goaltender coach for Price and Halak.

- Re-sign Kovalev, Koivu, Tanguay, and Schneider for (hopefully) hometown discounts. Kovalev has gone on the record to say that Montreal is the happiest he's ever been in his hockey career and that playing in Canada is so much better than the US. Tanguay waved his NTC to come here, so he wants to be here. Schneider won a Cup here, he wanted to come back. Let Bouillon & Breezyby walk. Hopefully bring back Kosto to a small deal.

- Re-sign Komisarek, package him with our 1st, a prospect and the Kostitsyns for Vinny. Move Hamrlik with a future draft pick and attempt to bring back Souray.

- Bring up PK Subban.

- Throw all the cash you possibly can at Bouwmeester & Cammalleri; make offers to Sykora, Recchi, Hatcher and Weight and see who bites.

- Finally sign Shanahan. He's only been begging Gainey for a few years now to bring him to Montreal. Would have been here already if not for that cluster**** with his passport a few years back.

Tanguay, Lecavalier, Kovalev
Higgins, Koivu, Latendresse
Cammalleri, Lapierre, Recchi
Shanahan, Plekanec, Kostopoulos

Subs: Laraque, Metro, Stewart, D'Agostini, Pacioretty.

Markov, Souray
Bouwmeester, Schneider
Gorges, PK

Subs: O'Byrne, Weber.

Price
Halak

. . . sigh.

That off-season will only stay a dream because that is impossible to do with the salary cap.

John Stevens is the biggest whiner in the world. All he has done is b*tch after ever game. Can't he accept that is team sucks? Disco Dan should punch him in the face after the Pens eliminate the Cryers Thursday.

Wings showing that they are the team to beat out West; complete and utter domination

Nucks and Blues going to OT now, that series has been scrappy and pretty entertaining

Luongo is a flat out beast. And to think Montreal could have had him when Florida was shopping him. . .

Gainey offered Openthedore, and Florida told him to include Ryder. Thinking Ryder was going to be a massive goal scorer for the Habs, he refused to part ways with Ryder. Now Theo is rotting on Washington's bench with the crabs that Paris Hilton gave him and Ryder is playing well for the rival Bruins. Gainey ****ed up so badly on that trade refusal.

I think Flames fans can agree with me when I say I hope to God San Jose comes back to take that series. If the Hawks make it out of this round, I do not want to see Vancouver.

A Wings-Canucks matchup in Round 2 could be great.

Joe Thornton didn't get his first shot on goal until a minute left in the game.

With the exception of one postseason, that's a running trend it seems with Mr. Thornton

Just another day in the life of Average Joe Thornton. The transformation from Big to Average is complete!

Hold on. Sorry? Are you implying Joe Thornton is an average hockey player?

No? Figures. Get a room, yeesh.

Not speaking for ALL flames fans. . . .but i would LOVE to see that series, simply as a hockey fan. The last two games these two played have been some of the best hockey i have seen in many years. As a Flames fan, i want them to play the best and get the best out of them. There would be no better series to watch than Calgary Vancouver. . . .I really hope it happens. Well, i hope Calgary puts themselves in the position to make that happen. I would say just beating Chicago would be pretty nice right now
