The Blue Jays have gotten off to a strong start, and this is the official thread to post trade suggestions and people to sign.

Well I think the number one thing this team needs to find is a young shortstop. There were rumours last year that they were trying to move AJ for a prospect in the Phillies system. I think Scut/JMac can be passable at shortstop but the team really needs a replacement to groom in the minors.

There was also a rumour of AJ going to Milwaukee for JJ Hardy. I can see why the Brewers would have easily declined that though.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

I agree, but man the Brewers would have had a crazy rotation for the playoffs.

That's WS level pitching.

Woolf in another thread has a trade question that I thought I would post here for discussion

my question is...would you guys welcome a trade that involved one of our big bats (v-dub, rios, lind, or snider) for a legitimate 2-3 rotation guy with experience to help this pitching staff as much as possible...i think right now it has to be looked at (imagine if we had traded rios for lincecum a little while back)
our bats are on fire now but when they cool off this team is going to struggle without pitching

Looking long-term, that's a bad idea - especially if they trade Snider or Lind. Out of the 4 big bats, only Snider and Lind have leigitimate opportunities to develop in to power hitters appropriate for the clean-up spot. Even giving up one of them, their bats will be missed in the lineup - especailly considering the lack of true power prospects coming up (Cooper is looking more and more like Overbay 2.0 and Arencibia has good power for a catcher, but doesn't really project as a clean-up guy). The Blue Jays are in a good state for pitching in the future, assuming Halladay stays and the prospects come through. A rotation of Halladay, McGowan, Cecil, Marcum, Litsch/Purcey should be good enough.
