I've been watching this team since wirtz passed. It's been a great resurgance. I still remember the chicago stadium days in the early 90s where the stadium was just intimidating and you guys gave my team (the leafs) a good rivalry.

Still kind of miss that Rivalry...

Can't remember the city ever quite being like this in respect to the Blackhawks. Even back in the mid-90's I still didn't have quite the special feeling I have now. Like Tallon was saying, if teams play us tough we can play that style. But if teams play us with finesse, we can do that too. We have a great combination of speed, talent, youth, toughness, and savvy veteran play. But the talent is flat-out superior. Brian Campbell has taken a lot of flake but he's been great in the post-season. Watching the Vancouver series, I just felt like I was watching the early stages of a special period in time for our organization.

Sounds like game 1 will be on Sunday. Time will be announced tomorrow night. We'll either have an NBC afternoon game or a Versus night game. My bet would be NBC if we get Detroit and Versus if we get Anaheim.

I'm trying my best to channel my memories of going to Hawks games at The Stadium. If I really focus and meditate and bring back as many details as I can conjure about Wayne and The National Anthem at The Stadium -- the stands rumbling, the soundwaves you could feel, the pressure on your ears -- I can literally get the hairs on my arms and the back of my neck to rise, just re-living the memories. No joke.

The Hawks need to split in Detroit. We can't be careless with the puck, and no silly penalties. Detroit will take advantage of that fully.

Oh thank God Game 3 is on Friday. I work Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and was really worried I'd have to watch these games on a tiny TV and do, you know, my job in the process. Potential Game 7 is on my birthday, it could be either incredible or despressing beyond comprehension.

Seeing if my uncle, the only other Hawks fan I know, wants to go in for some tickets to one of the games, but he's unemployed and the cheapest I could find on Ticket Exchange was $195 a piece in the upper deck. I am also in college and all the money in my bank accounts are from loans, so...

Is this being broadcast on 560 AM? I'm trying to find out for someone else and I can't get that particular station to come in on my radio with a admittedly poorly placed antenna.

The next four games are on 560 AM.

Hawks look REALLY GOOD early on. Dominating this game.

looking good so far, the puck has been in the red wing zone A LOT. we have just barely broken up a few of their passes that would have lead to a break away though.

all in all have to like what we are seeing

Let's talk about how bad that turnover was by Seabrook. Holy God, I mean really, Brent? Really? You can't make mistakes and get away with them against Detroit, let alone unbelievably stupid ones.
