I think rider's a pretty good comparison actually. If nick was played 35mpg and given the green light to shoot on a crappy squad like the early 90's t-wolves he would've put up similar numbers. On the blazers he pretty much shot himself out of a job. A quick perusing on b-r: in 97-98, he launched up 5.7 three pointers on 32.1% shooting. Those are Antoine Walker numbers.

Hopefully he's closer to JR Smith than Isiah Rider.

I think McGee will be a cross between Ralph Sampson(shorter version)/Marcus Camby. He will continue to be devastating on the break catching the lob and finishing with dunks like Sampson. His length will create problems on defense like Camby.

I think Camby might be a good analogy, and can be a big help to the Wizards. I hope he can develop his offensive game a little more than Camby. Camby's highest scoring average was his rookie season. McGee does not need to be a 20/10 guy, but I think he helps the team a lot more averaging 12-14 points rather than 8 to 10.

Also I hope McGee has better health than Sampson or Camby.

Ralph had 3 good years before injuries set in. 7-4 228 just wasn't a good body design

Marcus. Wow. Taken in the second round 6-11 220

Was watching Kareem Skyhook piece and remember seeing Javale hit that same exact sky hook, when Javale is doing his runner across the lane and is fully extended, that shot really is unstoppable.
I also remember the Hakeem Dream Shake by Blatche. Boy can't wait to see both of those dudes logging heavy minutes together. I pray that EG doesn't trade either of them. if only we can get Clark, that threesome would be the most talented collection of two way front court players in the league.
Build your team w/5 shooters using P. Pierce Form deeply bent hips and lower back arch at same time b4 rising into shot. Elbow never pointing to the ground! Good teams have an engine player that shoot volume (2000 full season) at 50 percent.Large Hands

Remember that game where Nick Young hit the step back fadeway? OMGZ he is like Kobe!!!1111!
and Gil had a triple double two yearz ago so we have Jason Kidd with better lane agility and perimeter block shotting.

So we will be running a lineup like Kidd, Kobe, Hakeem and Kareem!!!111!!! Screw Butler, he is fat with poor lane agility and wingspan.

was actually 215 instead of 230, he would be a decent sg.

This will come as blasphemy to some but IMO McGee's ceiling is the center position. He'll be good, but it will be at center only. I don't see any PF in him. Carry on.

Didn't know anywhere else to put this, but JaVale has entirely too much time on his hands...

Ha! So ridiculous. You always prefer to see this stuff than hear about late night arrests and the like.

Well, Tim Duncan had the dork trait too, so hopefully that bodes well for JaVale.

No I agree with you. He doesn't have the skillset to be a power forward. He is definitely a center.

And LOL at that video man. It's definitely the offseason.

What is up with this about Butler being fat? I saw him working out at the GMU Fieldhouse a few weeks ago. First of all, he had his shirt off and he is very lean, he is definitely not fat. Second, the guy works hard...he was running suicides and sprints around the track for at least an hour.

If jaVale improves his footspeed and lower leg strength to bang, his sky hook in the paint after banging to give him some free space is an unstoppable moves because of his flexibility and maximum height reach. 33 inch vertical with a 9'6 standinig reach. Dude is over 2 feet above the rim on his release.
All he needs is leg strength to keep his balance when a big bumps hard just before he takes off. If he is able to absorb that blow and keep his elevation and balance, that's would be one of the most dangerous moves in the nba. Nobody in league has his combination of standing reach, vertical, and acrobactic ability.
When he gets strong enough to absorb powerful forearms to knock him off balance..scary. Got work his balance while being pushed around by a powerful post player. Haywood might be very useful in this area but McGee needs someone that he doesn't have to look up to practice against. Can't get into a physical battle with your mentor.
