Putting Charlotte's spotty draft history aside for a second, Williams would not be a terrible pick here. I think Henderson would be a better pick, but Williams is a solid player and a good fit in Charlotte.

How can one say Morriosn was a great pick? Your credibility is done at that moment and you should be banned from ever talking about basketball again.

If Morrison was a guaranteed bust then I wonder how he was in the top 7 of everybody's draft boards. I mean, the Heat and Nets would have taken him if they had picks that high. The only people being revisionists here are the haters. I'm done arguing the draft history though. Its not great, but getting 5 of your best 6 players using 4 lottery picks is not bad, a lot better than a lot of other teams around the league.

For the record I would like to voice how much I despise the term "hater".
Any time someone has an opinion, a disagreement with or doesn't like the same wack trash that some idiot does that idiot then labels said disagreer a "hater".
Stupid stupid word.

Right, because being short and unathletic is nothing like being fat.

Euphemisms.

How is "short" a euphemism for "fat?" Also, since when are draftniks nervous about calling out an overweight player, as they've done for Blair and Sweetney? People thought the Bobcats shouldn't have taken another PF, especially a short one, not because he was fat or injured.

Again about Morrison, don't misunderstand, no Bobcats fan thinks that Morrison was a good draft choice. The point was that AT THE TIME, it was not a REACH. Morrison was expected to go in the high-mid lotto.

I agree with vincecarter about "haters" generally speaking, and I don't think anyone is hating on the Bobcats because we aren't good/popular enough to develop that kind of antipathy. I don't even think most Bobcats fans would deny we have been a below-average drafting team. But we haven't been the worst drafting team, and certainly have not been guilty of "reaching" by conventional wisdom of the time.

If you have ESPN insider, you can check a graph of how teams have fared vs. expectations for picks. Bobcats rank 21.
