Re: Colangelo Goes Crazy!
I'm pretty sure any deal with Blake Griffin in it, is a waste of time and thought.

Why would the Magic take on Toronto's garbage? Seriously, they'd be much smarter to just renounce Hedo's rights rather than doing this deal...

Re: Colangelo Goes Crazy!
The reason why orlando would take on the three players mentioned are:
A) they still have plenty of holes to fill in on their roster so why not use a sign and trade to do just that?
B) the players mentioned are young and cheap - Hump is a solid energy guy and rebounder to put beside Dwight, Ukic is a bigger guard to pair with the much shorter Nelson and POB gives them some depth at the 5 and can be easily released if he doesn't work out
C) they would still have the MLE and LLE to to fill out the rest of the roster
Second, Griffen has fantastic potential, but Bosh is an all-star and easily a top 5 power forward in the league. You pair him up with Baron and if everyone stays healthy, the Clips will make the playoffs and all the money that comes with that. Blake could also eventualy get them there, but he will first have some growing pains, while with Bosh you basically know what you're going to get.

What makes you think Bosh is going to agree to an extension with the Clippers? It's one of the top 3 worst franchises in the NBA. That is the only reason you need to understanding that this deal will not work for a 1 year rental Bosh.

Holes are filled by people you want in the rotation, not pure garbage. Ukic, Humphries, and POB are not guys who fill out your rotation, they're guys who fill out the injured list.

Ukic is garbage (they have so much confidence in him that they brought in Marcus Banks and Quincy Douby to try and beat him out for playing time), Hump played in all of 29 games last year, and POB played in a whopping 13 games. These guys are not contributors on a winning team. Humphries is the only guy you could possibly argue should see time as a 10th man on a half way decent team.
C) they would still have the MLE and LLE to to fill out the rest of the roster
Nope. Teams like Orlando, with all the star power they've got in their starting five, attract guys far better than the crap you foist on them for the veteran minimum. The MLE and LLE are used to bring in far better players than they get here, too.

Right. You do know what you're getting; a potential free agent playing for the worst franchise in the league (in 34 years they've had two winning seasons) for the top pick in the draft. No one does that without an extension signed, and even then, they probably still don't do it...
