Prince: Thousands.

I just watched all of them over at Walt's house this weekend. I was thoroughly entertained, though I share his skepticism about how they can continue the series after the way the progressed it. What took place in 6 episodes should probably have been at least 12, maybe even like 18.

Considering the ending, I feel like they painted themselves into a corner. Granted, that's not a problem until I see what happens with the next season, but it's going to be tough to extricate themselves from that situation.

Oh, and, yet another stop on Paydro's whirlwind tour of popular videogames: LittleBigPlanet!
This is a very interesting game that is like nothing I've ever seen before. It's cartoonish, but extremely beautiful and the sound and music are fantastic. The regular gameplay is basically your typical platformer, you run, and jump, and occasionally grab things to swing. The story mode is short, but at times quite creative and usually pretty fun. The real meat is in the unbelievable amount of user-generated content that's out there. You can really do a lot with it, and apparently it's not all that difficult to create levels.

Overall I can't say I love it, because I'm a bit too hardcore a gamer, I find myself not all that interested in what combination of leaping puzzles they can throw at me (Super Mario Galaxy had to go REALLY crazy to wow me like it did). However, it's definitely worth some playtime if you own a PS3, and if you have any people in your life who are not typically interested in videogames, they will probably swoon over the way this thing is put together and how simple it is to learn. Any game where stickers constitute a substantial gameplay element and your main incentive for exploration is your character's costume is sure to appeal to the young ladies in your life.

i do agree that thriller is better than any prince album. as a musician prince blows mj away. as a performer, obviously mj wins. they are very different despite often being compared to each other. so....... anyway....

paydro.... good points about east bound. i was thinking the same thing last night. WTF? how in the world does season 2 start? yeah, they could have dragged out that season for a lot longer. hell, they could have made an entire episode of him hooking up with big boobs mcgee. haha.

I love East bound and I'm glad it's getting it's time to shine in the OTT. I have my concerns about where season 2 will go, but I have confidence that the writers will be able to get themselves out of it.

Prince is no slouch as a dancer or performer--AND he's a movie star (lest we forget his role as "The Kid" in the best coming-of-age drama/unintentional comedy musical of my generation, Purple Rain).

It's not really fair to compare their careers though. MJ made, what... 6 albums as an adult? 4 more solo records when he was a kid? Prince, has made close to 30. I have different moods where each artist better suits what I want to hear, but for me that's normally Prince. TBH, that MJ's songs are SO deeply etched into pop culture probably works against him, plus I grew up listening to MJ... his songs are definitely more kid friendly.

The only person ever to grace the Earth that Michael Jackson could physically impose and would actually stand a very good chance of beating in a street fight is Prince.

Therefore, MJ >>>> Prince.

You really enjoyed Gran Torino? I thought it was too slow to begin with and turned it off after a few.

So you watched the wake, thought it was slow and turned it off?

Do you start to eat a burger, bite the bun, decide it's bland so you throw it out???

I'm a little late to the party but lets be serious here guys.

Prince is good and all, but there's no way he could fart in the same vicinity as the King of Pop. And Gran Torino was one hell of a movie

 I don't throw out burgers unless they are 100% consumed.

As far as this movie, I just rented it because there was nothing better to rent, and when it started the way it did, I said forget it.
