Hey, Ginobili can shoot 3s. But yeah I'll have to find more, maybe I'll bring AK off the bench.
Pick 14 is the last lotto pick. So 15 or higher.

trading: how would that work? would you be limited to trading a knucklehead for a knucklehead? or can you trade a Euro for a knucklehead

With the next selection in the 2009 SFFD, the Aussie Bangers select:

Chukwuemeka Ndubuisi Okafor and select him against the player never to make an All Star team.
Now lets here some words of wisdom from the GM "we believe that Okafor is one of the elite defenders in the NBA today. We like the fact that we will be able to interchange Emeka and Camby between the PF a C positions. We think it is outright scary that either Okafor or Camby can come across and become weakside defenders.
We now feel that opposition team will struggle taking the ball to the rim with both Marcus and Emeka standing in the way. We also think that Emeka will benefit playing with a PG of the caliber of Tony Parker. Parker has great experience playing with a dominant big man in his past days at the Spurs, and Parker will assist in getting both Marcus and Okafor easy baskets.
We are still scratching our heads as to how Emeka has never been an All Star... Hopefully that'll changing in the 2009/10 season. As part of our marketing scheme, we want 18 fans to become the new 'Rejection Row'. The fans will be placed at either side of the court right behind the basket. 9 fans on each side. We want the nosiest, rowdiest fans we can find to join the 'Rejection Row'.
We have a locker room motto: "If Marcus don't get ya, than Emeka will"
PG: Tony Parker
SG: Rip Hamilton
SF: Caron Butler
PF: Marcus Camby
C: Emeka Okafor

Alright, I hate having two Blazers on my team, but he is #1 on my draft board and great value in this round (in other words, how has he not been taken sooner).
With the ΦΨth pick in the RealGM Bobcats Board fantasy draft, Coolio's Bullets select

(Non-All Star Catagory)
PG Chauncey Billups
SG Brandon Roy
SF
PF LaMarcus Aldridge
C Andrew Bynum / Andrew Bogut

I had a real tough choice between LMA and Okafor. I wanted LMA for his extra scoring, but I wanted Okafor for his defence.. It took me 2 hours, 2 trips to the toilet to 'think' about it and it was finally settled on a coin toss.
Okafor was tails, LMA was heads......

Personally I would have gone with LMA for your team waydownsouth... Camby-Okafor is offensively limited, you're really relying on the perimeter players to do your scoring.
I wanted to take one of those guys, but they no longer fit into categories for me.

Re: summer fun: fantasy draft contest -olajuwon34 on the clock
I would have been pissed if both LMA and Odom were gone, because I chose to pass on both for Bogut in the 4th when they were #1 and #2 on my board, respectively. But im glad LMA made it to my pick.
Yes, I'm taking this really seriously. The best part of the draft is going to be rounds 7-12, thats when the fireworks should begin.

Re: summer fun: fantasy draft contest -olajuwon34 on the clock
Maybe Paydro maybe.....
I wanted to build this team firstly around defense. I love defenders and great team defence. Any doodle breath in the NBA can put the ball into the basket. Offence is a given and there is tonnes left in the draft, but defence is where the game is played. Offence is all glory, defence is all guts and nuts.
I can live with 70% of my scoring coming from the PG/SG/SF positions, and I'd be way more concerned by Camby's and Okafor offence game if I didn't have one of the best PG in the game. I think Parker's game filled with floaters and tear drops, drawing interior defenders to him only helps Okafor and Camby on the offensive end. Parker is not a traditional 'bomber' type of guard, he is one of the best in the league in 'paint scoring'. Rip is my mid range gunner coming of pops and screens and Butler is a slasher that I'm happy with him taking the 3 ball. All those guys shot the ball at a very good clip from the floor. I also have plans for a 3 ball, and Hamilton isn't a slouch from there either.
This is what I like about Parker: "When there is talk about the best point guards, sometimes they don't talk about me. But that's not my main motivation, They can talk about Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Deron Williams and Chris Paul. I still have the most rings."
That starting 5, combined puts up 84.6ppg. I know not all players are going to hit their averages each and every game, but I think that's enough scoring potency with some more players I (fingers crossed) will be able to add to the squad, especially with the defensive presence already obtained.
I also wanted two defensive big studs so I can interchange them, so at all times, one of them is going to be on the court. I don't plan on ever playing a zone defence, so the tradition center isn't of much concern to me.
I'd love to include this draft into a real fantasy competition over the whole season.

Heh, I'd be ruined... Rondo and AK wouldn't be bringing much to the table. So far the smart money would be on doc.end probably. Set to dominate rebounds and percentages, plus some good 3-ball production.
I'd be more interested in putting these teams together and simming on NBA2k9... but there's only 12 so you can't do a series of tournaments, and you definitely can't do a season.

With they're 5th selection the Rastafarian Zealots pick Ben Gordon in the European slot(originally from UK) and switch the Turkish Hedo Turkoglu to international. The gm addressed the teams severe lack of defense by quoting these famous words 'you ain't seen nothing yet'.
Al Jefferson
Paul Millsap
Hedo Turkoglu
Ben Gordon
Gilbert Arenas

I finally figured out who Fats had in mind when he made the "less than 8ppg" requirement, I'm surprised their wasn't one for "Names rhymes with Shmalter Shmerrmann,"
With my fifth pick I select....
Anthony Randolph

...who had 499 points in 63 games last year, or 7.92 points per game. Another guy who will blossom when freed from Nellie-ball hell. There were other guys who I may have wanted all things being equal, but his versatility (in the context of this game) tipped the scales. I'll put him in "less than 8ppg" for now, although he is also eligible for "Euro born,"
