It's very unrealistic both in talent swap, and in the fact that both Sessions and Lee are BYC, and you're throwing two BYC players into a three-team deal. And the Jazz will hold onto Boozer and find other ways to clear salary if that is all they can get for him.

Not to mention the Jazz have no motivation whatsoever to facilitate a trade with the Knicks that will make the Knicks better and likely much better. The Jazz stand to benefit greatly from the Knicks stinking up the joint again. The last thing they want is for New York's fortunes to change.

I don't see Utah getting anything of value for Boozer. He's a selfish douchebag who won't play through a hangnail, AND he wants out of Utah.

Knicks fans overrate their talent more than any forum on here, by far. It's really bad.

ok lets break up the trades.

David Lee for Ramon Sessions and Amir Johnson. I think this is a fair trade for both sides, no?

But instead of taking Amir we trade him to Utah with Cuttino Mobley(80% insured) for Boozer. Now why would they do this: Well they wanted to save money but they wanted a player out of it too. This gets both done. They save money and get a player.

Now i am not saying this is likely to happen, i'm just saying this is what i want to happen. It probably has little chance of happening, i know this.

I didn't even consider the Jazz had the Knicks pick. Wow was Isiah the worst GM in history.

Yes, I agree it's a fair trade kingo, but with the fact Utah stands to benefit from your failures, it really doesn't make any sense any longer for Utah.

I believe the Knicks dealt that pick to Suns which later ended up going to Jazz to eat some salary.

It was one of two first-round picks Isiah sent to the Suns for Marbury in 2004.

Good lord. Isiah is beyond words. He threw in a 2010 draft pick. He must of knew he'd be fired by then.

Didn't he also move an unprotected pick for Eddy Curry to the Bulls? So he moved three first rounders for Curry and Marbury?

The main reason for the Knicks trying to work out a S&T for Sessions, of course, is Walsh may believe Hammond's going to match the type of offer sheet he's thinking of making. If he was completely confident he could get Sessions, he'd sign him to an offer sheet and be done with it. The fact this has dragged on for so long is a pretty good sign that among the issues going on is Walsh's belief Hammond's going to match his offer.

I actually think Walsh has a total payroll spend number he is looking at. He isn't getting anyone he wants on a one-year deal. This means he will have to sign someone to a lulti-year and that contract could hinder NY's FA plans for next offseason. He is looking at S&T for Sessions because he is hoping he can give MIL back enough that even if he signs Sessions to a multi-year contract, he will still have room for two max FAs next offseason.

The problem with that is if you factor out the young guys they see as their "core guys" (Gallinari, Chandler, Hill, Douglas) the only other guys that would impact 2010 would be David Lee, Nate Robinson, Eddy Curry and Jared Jeffries. Lee and Robinson they can probably get to sign one years so that would also eliminate them (more or less) from that logic. Can't see the Bucks going anywhere near Curry. Same goes with Jeffries unless the Knicks take someone back like Gadzuric (which would make no sense) or Skiles really loves Jeffries (for some odd reason).

Also with the likelihood that Sessions will be BYC in a sign-and-trade it'll make it difficult to work a deal where, say, David Lee is sent to the Bucks in exchange. Would mean the Bucks would have to include someone (or multiple someones) with expiring contracts obviously to balance salaries. Considering that most of the expirings were just acquired I don't know that they can be traded again so quickly in a package deal.

That Knicks' 2010 first-round pick is like the town whore. A lot of folks had their hands on it at one time or another. Started with New York. Went to Phoenix in the Marbury deal and then onto Utah with Tom Gugliotta.
