Hey, CC..

Im planning to take my girl out on a little romantic dinner once we get back to SB in a month or two. I was looking at Cold Spring Tavern where I know you play and it looks like a really nice place. Can you give me a quick little overview on the place? Im looking for something with an intimate setting that wont set us back too much as far as the wallet goes. Something affortable. Any other reccomendations around teh SB area? I'd highly appreciate.

Thanks man, and hope all's well.

Do you need a room or just an food and romance? Cold Spring is rad, but there aren't rooms and dinner for two can be around 40 with some wine on the cheap or if you get the game plate or something from the main restaurant could be 80-100 in a hurry.

Here's the menu page but check the whole site: http://www.coldspringtavern.com/menu.html

If you need a room... cheap would be the Sandman Inn on N State

Let me know what you need as far as accommodations or just dinner and a good time etc... and I'll figure out something good.

the earthquakes in mexico today are mind boggling. 4 earthquakes, in a couple of hrs, measuring 5.8, 6.9, 5.0 and 5.9. this is insane.

6.9 is a strong quake if I'm not wrong. How long did the impacts last and was the epicenter close to Cali?

Kobe Bryant had his Asian Tour including my country, the Philippines about two weeks ago... One of the things he did was to hit on this girl (among others, signed autographs, promoted his shoe and had some basketball drills to his legion of fans in the country)

http://www.journal.com.ph/index.php?issue=2009-07-29&sec=3&aid=99284&FORM=ZZNR4

MICHELLE Madrigal was at the Embassy Bar with brother and sister Paolo and Bubbles Paraiso the night that NBA star Kobe Bryant also went there on his last night in Manila. She got the surprise of her life when Kobe approached her at their table and asked her: "So how's 'Zorro'?"

"Siyempre, nagulat ako na alam niya ang 'Zorro'," she laughs. "Gusto ko ngang sagutin ng 'Why? Do you have GMA Pinoy TV at home kaya mo alam ang 'Zorro'? Yun pala, yung black guy who earlier talked to me and asked me what I'm doing, yun pala ang road manager niya rito. Tinanong ako kung anong ginagawa ko and I said I'm an actress who's doing the show 'Zorro'. Kaya 'yun ang opening line ni Kobe Bryant sa'kin."

Basically the Tagalog translation is that Kobe went to her and ask her about Zorro--- a miniseries by the actress in RP--- as his pick up line :D

Just saying.

i didn't follow any of that, trolling would be much more effective if done in English

and was there someone in that story named Bubbles? is that their real name?

Come on. That's legit news. It's not like i posted a new thread just for this ;) Anyway, as i've said that's just part of the news, Kobe's visit is always big when he comes to Manila. By my estimate half the Philippines (the basketball-loving ones), guesstimate is around 20 million, are Los Angeles Lakers fans that's why whenever Kobe visits the country a 2,000-seater venue suddenly can handle 8,000 people.

Just saying :)
