Snaq....... Even though I live in O.C, Im always down in Diego. I live in Ladera Ranch Mang, like 40 minutes away. I was actually seeing this girl that live in Mira Mesa, and another girl that Im still seeing that live in La Jolla.
Im probably down in Diego more than I am in OC or LA these days. I love the crowd down in Diego so much more, I have every hookup for every club, art show, fashion show, Yatch parties, Padre games, every VIP event that goes down in Diego.
In fact let me know if you want me to send the invites your way as well. I mean Im talking about 5 weeks ago at the HardRock rooftop with Lil Jon, DJ AM, Ptibul etc and I couldnt make it since I had to roll to LA. But spots like Ivy hotel rooftop, Stingree, Airport, Barwest, Hardrock pool parties on Sundays, YOU TELL ME when your down, Im always available.
Actually I invited a few peps a few times that live in Diego to meetup and they couldnt so dont hesitate to hit me up Mang. Im down to meetup anytime anywhere anytime brah.

An oldie but still good. :)

Erik Eleven and his wife are travelling by car from Los Angeles to Boston for the Lakers Celtics game.

After almost twenty-four hours on the road, they're too tired to continue, and they decide to stop for a rest. They stop at a nice hotel and take a room, but they only plan to sleep for four hours and then get back on the road.

When they check out four hours later, the desk clerk, J-far hands them a bill for $350. Erik Eleven explodes and demands to know why the charge is so high. He tells J-far although it's a nice hotel, the rooms certainly aren't worth $350.

When the clerk tells him $350 is the standard rate, Erik Eleven insists on speaking to the Manager. The Manager, Snaq, appears, listens to the Erik Eleven, and then explains that the hotel has an Olympic- sized pool and a huge conference center that were available for Erik Eleven and his wife to use.

"But we didn't use them", the Erik Eleven complains. "Well, they are here, and you could have," explains Snaq.

He goes on to explain they could have taken in one of the shows for which the hotel is famous. "The best entertainers from New York, Hollywood and Las Vegas perform here," Snaq says.
"But we didn't go to any of those shows," complains the Erik Eleven again.
"Well, we have them, and you could have", Snaq replies. No matter what facility Snaq mentions, Erik Eleven replies, "But we didn't use it!"

Snaq is unmoved, and eventually Erik Eleven gives up and agrees to pay. He writes a check and gives it to Snaq. Snaq is surprised when he looks at the check. "But sir," he says, "this check is only made out for $100."

"That's right," says the man. "I charged you $250 for sleeping with my wife."

"But I didn't!" exclaims Snaq.

"Well," Erik Eleven replies, "she was here, and you could have."

1. (off topic) did you play a lot of video games when you were in the military or were you too busy/interested in other stuff while you were overseas in Iraq during your recess from active field duty?

no, video games, I was never big on video games. when I was in Iraq I didn't really have time for games or much time to myself. I worked 14 hours a day, six days a week. during my time off had to do laundry, workout, sleep, run to bunkers when we would be attacked by rockets and morters (this evolution usually took about 4 hours of our sleep time), stand in line for about an hour in order to use the internet to communicate home for 30 minutes,

Verbal wrote:2. How was the food, etc.

the food was good, but I felt a great deal of conflict within me about it. I felt that the Army was wasting a serious amount of money on food. it was paying KBR (a Halliburton subsedary) 34.00 dollars per meal. the meals were not worth more than 5 dollars. they also had overpriced fast food like Burger King, Pizza Hut etc.

Verbal wrote:3. What branch of the military were you associated with? -I believe it was the Navy, but I could be wrong.

I am with the NAVY, but when I went to Iraq it was on a program called Individual Augment. it is basically a personel loan program to the Army to augment their depleting numbers of troops.

Verbal wrote:4. What are you doing now that you're inactive (or at least I think you are inactive now)?

I am still active. I am stationed on the USS Halsey home based in San Diego.

Verbal wrote:5. (on topic) Are you a Chargers fan or were you just there for the sight seeing. ;)

I am less than a causual fan of football. I usually just watch the Super Bowl, so yeah I went sight seeing.

Sounds about right; I heard mortars were the biggest threat to US ground units in that area.

I heard food's gotten better, too.

Did y'all have chill-out bunkers like Charlie Sheen had in "Platoon"?

Whoa.

How did you know the Army was paying $34 for a meal that's worth no more than $5? :o

A scam is right.

Halliburton, eh?

I have as much faith in them as I do in FEMA.

Do you prefer active duty on water (navy) or on ground (infantry)?

You said you were a veteran, what's your field of specialty?

Ditto on the football thing.

I might watch more games next season if I get accepted in the fantasy football league held by Phil X this season. :)

Sounds like the same thing my brother is doing right now, Snaq. In the Navy, but left to Iraq a few months back for a year. He's also stationed in San Diego, but I forget the ship's name.

(Just saw your signature)

Was hoping you'd be apart of the basketball fantasy league last year.

Are you participating this year? :)

well, you were acting all high and mighty in the fantasty bball thread and we got the feeling you didn't want in and you never threw your name in or expressed any interest.

We actually needed an extra guy for the league b/c we only had 15 guys so dcash's cousin joined... or something along those lines happened.
