Re: Squad 6 Thread
Hey guys,
That guy is right. We should realize our duty as fans to be objective and take into consideration player performances before we do chants. I mean, this guy has 52 views on youtube (30 of which came from this board) so we should respect him.

Can't really argue with many of his points. Seems to have the same opinion of our team as most on this board.

Re: Squad 6 Thread
Yeah, in total honesty, the guy is actually more complimentary than most are to the Bucks, and I don't think he's too bad of a homer. If you listen to the whole thing, he actually says some nice stuff about our team. That said, he's obviously not "getting" one of the keys about home court advantage - to talk smack about the other guys, justified or not. That's a fan's job! Glad to see it's being done.
Anyway, I just found it interesting that you guys are getting reactions from other fan bases that can hear you on TV - that means you're doing it right. Keep it up. Right now you're "the Milwaukee fans that were chanting overrated", but maybe the legend of Squad 6 will grow, and you'll start getting attacked on youtube by name! The dream!

Not sure if this is exactly what you had in mind, but in terms of getting the seated portion of the crowd to participate...
One thing that the Chicago Fire supporters do at their games is start a cheer where they yell "everybody....everybody...everybody...." to get the stadium's attention. Then, they cheer out "Who's the best???" and the rest of the stadium responds "The Fire!". Section 8 (the Fire supporters group) responds with "WHO?" and the stadium repeats "The Fire!". Then, Section 8 repeats the "WHO?" portion for a 2nd time and again, the stadium responds.
Something like that can be done for the Bucks as well. The key is to get everybody's attention first, then Squad 6 would need to "lead" the crowd through their response. Over time, this has become a very easy way to get the seated people more involved with the Fire supporters, and I think it would do the exact same here in Milwaukee. The people in Chicago who respond to the "Who's the best?" cheer end up getting involved in many of the other cheers too...for the Bucks those same people would be much more likely to join in the "Defense" cheers for example.

I like it! We really need to try some things that require a response from the rest of the crowd.

Re: Squad 6 Thread
I really think we need a song at the BC that the whole crowd sings every game. The Red Sox have "Sweet Caroline" and the Dodgers have "Don't Stop Believing". Both are outstanding choices for crowds to sing but they are already taken so we should think of something else. Hearing an entire crowd sing a song like that gives everyone in the stadium goose bumps. I think it would be AWESOME to have this ritual at the BC.
What do you guys think of any of the following:
"Livin On a Prayer"
"Lean On Me"
"Proud to be an American"
Or we could just do what both the Dodgers and Red Wings do and sing "Don't Stop Believing".
We already sing 'Ole, Ole, Ole' for a victory song. What do you think of singing "Lean On Me" after a loss? Think of how emotional/powerful that would be. After awhile it might get the crowd to stay til the end of the game no matter what the outcome. Anything we decide, we'd have to get the BC to throw on the song and put up lyrics.

Re: Squad 6 Thread
Just my opinion, but I think we have to get kind of a 'core group' of cheers that we use at certain times during the game... If it be before the game, during timeouts, when we are on defense, when we are offense, when the other team is shooting FTs, etc. Because if we keep the same cheers over the course of an entire season (or however long this goes), that is what will build a 'tradition' and the fans that start to come to multiple games will be able to join in more often... I think it's already started to form with the Bogut chant, the 'Brandon Jennings' then clapping, the usual defense chants, the end of the game chant, etc.
Then when something funny comes up against a certain team or if we think of something interesting as a one night then, just splash it in there from time to time.

I cant remember if you guys said you could somewhat control the music that gets played after a players basket but if you could I would like to suggest NWA Straight Out of Compton for Brad. Just a small thing but I actually think he would enjoy it somewhat
