Packers Haven't Beaten Anyone Good

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Oct 29, 2007 3:16 am

That's what I hear and read a lot so farthis season. Right now there are 10 teams with 2 losses or less. Here are the winning percentages of the teams that those 10 teams have beaten (not just played, but beaten):

Indianapolis: 22-18 (55%)
Green Bay: 18-16 (53%)
Pittsburgh: 14-19 (44%)
Tennessee: 11-16 (41%)
New England: 22-32 (40%)
Detroit: 11-18 (38%)
Washington: 11-18 (38%)
Jacksonville: 7-16 (30%)
Dallas: 13-32 (29%)
NY Giants: 11-30 (27%)

Beat the Eagles (in very ugly fashion, but a win is a win) who are decent. McNabb usually tears us to shreds, not the case this year.

Beat a Giants team that was terrible at the time, but have now won six straight.

Beat the Chargers and I don't care if they weren't playing well back in Week 3. Still had LT/Rivers/Gates and Merriman on the defensive side. They are starting to get it together too at the moment.

Beat the Queens and well, okay they aren't very good. Though they have a stud in Adrian Peterson and if they can get a real QB they could be dangerous.

Beat the Skins two weeks ago and they are a solid team. Sure they got destroyed today, but who hasn't going against the Pats?

Well, part of that assessment of them being terrible at the time was due to us beating them. In fact a lot of the teams we've beaten had been pretty much written off at the time but have since turned their seasons around. So were they really that bad when we beat them or was our strength underestimated?

I also disagree with that and said weeks ago that the Giants were our most impressive victory when they were 2-2 when someone counted that as a "weak" win. At the time I pointed out that their two losses came against GB and Dallas who were both unbeaten at the time. Obviously they haven't lost since. Like I said then, probably out most impressive win of the season.
