Another Thunder guard, Kyle Weaver(notes), also was scheduled to have surgery on his separated shoulder, an injury he suffered last week during practice. Oklahoma City center Nenad Krstic(notes) missed his first game of the season Sunday with soreness in his left Achilles tendon and forward Nick Collison(notes) missed his fourth consecutive game with a sprained knee.

Guard Shaun Livingston(notes) has been sidelined following arthroscopic knee surgery two weeks ago, but practiced Saturday and participated in the team’s practice on Sunday.

Wallace fined $30K for criticizing officials
Rasheed Wallace was fined $30,000 for criticizing officials following Friday’s game against the Raptors. Wallace expressed his disagreement with several calls, including a personal foul attributed to him in which he felt Hedo Turkoglu flopped

“This game is watered down, watered down with all that flopping [crap],” he said after the game. “They’re setting rules on us to the point where you’re taunting if you dunk on somebody. Paul dunked it and then he didn’t say nothing but it’s a tech …Let the Golden Child do that or one of the NBA Without Border kids do that, it’s all fine and dandy.”

Pistons top Hawks
There was a lot to like yesterday afternoon at the Palace as the short-handed Pistons showed tons of heart in defeating the Atlanta Hawks 88-94. John Kuester seen a way to balance the lineup with three of his stars out. Chucky Atkins got the starting point guard duties -his first start since 2007- freeing up Rodney Stuckey to get more penetration than a former Hawks’ cheerleader. Rodney made it job #1 to take it right to the Hawks, and that he did. Stuck led the Pistons with 23 points, and he also had 8 of the team’s 18 assists. Kuester also promoted Jason Maxiell to the front line. With Charlie V (13 pts) joining Will Bynum (19 pts) in the second unit the Pistons got more firepower off the bench than usual.

The only other thing you need to know about this game is that the Pistons outrebounded the Hawks 53-27. Twenty-three rebounds come on the offensive glass, giving the Pistons a 30-10 advantage on second chance points. If you guessed that Ben Wallace had a lot ot do with that, then you’ve been paying attention this year. Ben is proving he ages like wine. Big Ben pulled down 18 boards, 11 of them offensive! Not to mention 2 assists, 2 steals, and 10 points. Winning the board war was so crucial against the Hawks because they’re such an efficient offensive club. If you’ve seen any of their games this season you’d note that they’re not in there wasting offensive possessions. Jonas Jerebko (10 pts, 11 rbs.), Jason Maxiell (6 rbs.), Charlie V (6 rbs.), and Kwame Brown (5 rbs.) all had a great time at the rebounding party at the Palace.

And just like that the we defeated the East’s hottest team and ended our own 7 game losing streak. Charlie Villanueva suffered a broken nose when he collided with Ben Wallace’s hip in the fourth quarter. We should hear more on that sometime today.

Barbosa out at least 2 games
Suns guard Leandro Barbosa will sit out for at least the remainder of this road trip, which continues Tuesday in New York and Wednesday in Cleveland.

Barbosa sprained his left ankle in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 113-94 victory at Toronto. Barbosa was fouled from the side by Toronto's Marco Belinelli as he made a jump shot but his left foot landed on the foot of Toronto's Andrea Bargnani, who was in front of him. Barbosa stayed in to make his free throw, giving him 17 points in 15 minutes but then left the game and the ankle swelled largely.

X-rays taken after the game were negative but he will miss at least two games and Barbosa said it could be as much as two weeks before he plays again. The time off will also help with his right wrist, which still has limited motion and a lump from a cyst inside the wrist. Barbosa was 7 of 12 from the field Sunday and had his best scoring game of November. "It was sore, really sore," said Barbosa, who remained upbeat after the game. "It looked bad on the outside but it hurts on the inside of it."

Big date for Love: Second-year power forward Kevin Love, out since breaking his left hand in an exhibition game, will see a doctor Thursday to determine if he's ready to begin practicing. "You can't put a date on it, but if the bone has healed like we hope it has, it should be shortly thereafter," Wolves president of basketball operations David Kahn said Sunday.

Love's absence has been a major hit for Minnesota; he led the team in rebounding last season with a 9.1 average. "He's going to need a few practices, certainly, practices in which he gets hit," Kahn said. "But (Thursday) is an important date."

Curry still kneeds a little rest
Worried? Mike D'Antoni has every reason to be worried about Eddy Curry's latest left-knee injury.

Curry missed his third straight game during the Knicks' 114-102 loss to the Magic, his left knee still swollen. A tender left knee cost Curry all but three games last season. When asked if he was now getting worried, D'Antoni had to laugh. "You think I'd start now," the Knicks coach said. "I got to that point about three months ago."

Curry claimed team doctors have never told him he has an arthritic knee, though he took arthritic medication last season. Curry huddled with Dr. Lisa Callahan and Knicks orthopedist Dr. Allen Answorth before the game. An MRI was taken last week on the West Coast and no structural damage was found. But his comeback is stalled at four games. "It's still swollen, we're not going to rush it, we'll make sure the swelling goes down all the way and evaluate it and see how it looks," Curry told The Post.
