bizz... we meant no disrespect to slovenia. its just compared to some of the bigger name countries like france and portugal, slovenia looks better. however, we all know that france and portugal havent looked good in the last year and slovenia made it to the wc for a reason. hell, you guys should be cheering just as much as us. well, ok, im sure you would have preferred north korea over us, but still, we havent proven anything.

i honestly dont know anything about your team. would love to get some input over the upcoming months so we know what we are facing.

and really, i think most US fans were more excited about getting algeria than anything else. compared to what that could have been, algeria seems like a great draw. i wanted no part of ivory coast, cameroon, nigeria or chile.

it will come down to US vs slovenia to see who moves to the second round. that game will be intense for sure.

Fatlever don't worry I'm not holding anything against you or other fans on the boards. I understand that most of Americans haven't even heard about our country, well maybe that Bush and Putin met for the first time ever here. Believe me being from the country of 2 million people and 20.000 square kilometrs(you do the math :P), I got used to people not knowing anything about us. Even our neighbours(Italy, Austria,..) don't know nothing about us. That is why I'm happy that we got USA and England because more people will find out about our small but beautifull country.

As I said I'm acctually happy with being considerd an underdog, since that is the best motivation for us. And I'm not saying we are better than anyone in this turnament let alone this group, but you should know that qualifiying for WC is very hard in Europe and Africa so your team should be prepared for the games against Slovenia and Algeria.

And if you want to know something about our team I will be happy to provide some info. I must addmit I don't know a lot about your team either, so we can exchange knowledge.

For starters the backbone of our team are

Udinese goalkeeper Samir Handanović (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1230830/Tottenham-face-battle-keeper-Samir-Handanovic-United-link-drives-Udinese-asking-price-15m.html)

West Bromvich middfilder Robert Koren
and
striker Milivoje Novaković from Koln or Cologne(don't know wich is the international word)

None of our players play in the domestic league(it flat out sucks), they mostly play in second tiere European leagues as France, Belgium, Netherlands, Russia ect. The greatest asset of our National team is the brotherhood and friendship among players. You can see it outside of the field and on it. Otherwise we play some kind of mixture between German footbal full of discipline and hard work with a flair of balcan passing, dribbling...

I think underestimation won't help you much anyway sadly, cause after group you would face someone from Aussies' Group D, probably Germany. If you advance from the group nobody would underestimate you that much anymore (until the match is over that is).

Taht being sad I'm going to be honesr and say that that group is England's and USA's to lose - but that copuld easily happen. I know you were on some bug tournaments before and then missed a few and somehow regressed back to the bunch (resultwise) so I know you can do some damage - overall I thought our qualification group was full of not top, slightly above average teams (us included) where anybody could defeat anybody (except one obligatory eternal underdog - San Marino this time), Slovaks surprised me, they always had a history of kidn of folding mentally when facing us (in any sport) but not this time, they managed to hold their own in both matches. It seemed that many teams were undergoing a bad period, except you and Slovaks (which are surely on the rise) and you deserved to advance.

I thought of this thread when I heard that Donovan was on his way to Everton. Now we can see how Cahill compares to Landon, they may compete directly for minutes!

so landon is officially at everton, adu is in greece with eddie johnson, holden might be at burnley. should be an interesting winter for US soccer.

i will be very upset if landon doesnt get minutes soon. god knows everton could use some creativity on the wings. they are a bore to watch.

very happy to see adu move to a lesser league. kid NEEDS to get some playing time. its getting ridiculous. just happy that hull rumor was bs. he would have never seen the pitch at hull.

Nope, news to me (I checked and newspapers issued article about it around an hour ago). Writing the date down, I guess we will discuss this a bit in May.

I knew only about our friendly with Scotland (which is funny because we will face them in qulification for next Euro again).

We are in the rebuilding process, I can't really tell you probable lineup right now with exception of obvious Čech goalkeeping. Staff is new and quite inexperienced, so hrad to say what to expect. We have already managed to test a lto fo players in NT and losing to Azerbaidjan that way...

Thank god it will be on national TV here in Germany. Usually, we have to order champions league and bundesliga games via PPV. What a disgrace. :x

i cant wait. i absolutely love watch bayern play right now with ribery and robben on the wings. that is such a dynamic pair. when they are both healthy im not sure there is a scarier wing duo on the planet. i think bastien needs to have a monster game today controlling the midfield. he's my fav on the team. he sprays the deep long ball as well as anyone playing. and olic should be a vital part in today's win weather he starts or comes off the bench.

thats being said, i think man u comes out focused and tough today.

there you go, 2 goals in the first 10 minutes. Bayern's defense is looking like garbage as always
