Honest mistake and no immediate advantage. In your case, you are preserving a lead in 3PTM against me. Funnily enough, you are using Dorell Wright, a former Youngster.

I think its an error in tactics and should stand. I guess its hard to keep track of everything when you're streaming.

I don't see it as a tactical error because he didn't stream this week. Fact is, it "looked" like Oden missed his 5th game last night...but he played like 3 minutes in the game he got injured...it was easy to overlook that.

Do we have a ruling on this yet?

No idea what the "official ruling" on this is going to be but Jordan set the precedent with his own situation that you should be allowed to **** up once and get your player back. Does it make sense that Stanford should lose such a valuable commodity when it's happened with the commish before and a couple other cases (I'm too lazy to look them up)? I think the only reason we're talking about this is because the perception that Coady won't really miss him as much as other managers would. That shouldn't be the case though, he should get the same treatment as everyone else.

Then again, you did set the precedent of being a stickler for the rules with the Gallinari situation.

I don't think managers - especially in dynasty leagues - should be rewarded for another manager's honest mistake...

If it comes to a vote, I will side where I've sided before, it was an easy mistake. If Coady had been streaming last week, I'd say otherwise, but it was easy mistake.

One block. ONE BLOCK! That's all I needed to make it 5-4. Kudos Carl for adding James Johnson, thanks to him, you nearly had a 7-2 victory. If it weren't for him, it would have been 5-4. The Matadors rallied this weekend with some superb shooting, and took over the FG% column.

And, for all that pomp and circumstance from Carl about his domination...for the fact that my usual strongholds (like Channing Frye) and some new guys (TJ Ford and Vince Carter) severely underperformed this week...I'm STILL ahead of Carl in the standings!! I'll take that. I just need to coast for a few more weeks before Barbosa is back, and a few more thereafter before Louis "top 10 Fantasy Player" Williams is back, and the Matadors will be fine.

So gracious in defeat. My team outperformed yours, stop making excuses and get over it. You did only need one more block, but I outcoached you and took a win away from you. Everybody in the league has injuries and underperforming players now (read: Danny Granger). I predicted 5-4, 7-2 in the season series so 5-3-1 puts us a little ahead of our game plan. By the way, Channing Frye is a "stronghold"? What?

On the Oden issue, my official stance is that I don't agree with giving guys free passes for their mistakes. But I feel even more strongly that everybody should get equal treatment. It's pretty obvious that he thought it was 5 games and that it was a mistake, and everybody's mistakes this season have been wiped away so his should be too. But in the future (i.e. next season) I'd like to see people held accountable for their mistakes.

The thing I don't like about this season is that the rules change week to week and that's on the commish (ahem). If enough support was show for a 5 move/week rule, let's put it in there, if not, what was last week?

Max games is for roto. Max moves is h2h. We can't get rulings on anything.

If it is ruled that Stanford still has I right to Oden, I will concede that the precedent has already been set. There does seem to be a little of a double standard. If Oden is returned my roster needs to be returned to how it was.

That said, Standford does not seem to be protesting too much so perhaps he was trying to pull a fast one. And I was not going to let another manager take advantage of the situation.

You can stream and only add one player. It could be it was getting late in the week and he needed to fill a category and streamed in one player at the end of the week.

Ohh, I guess I'm still due my "honest" mistake... I guess I'll save it for the PO's if you all don't mind. Just in case I make it there and have an injury.

Now you're confusing streaming with normal adding and dropping. Nothing is wrong with adding a player to upgrade your stats. Nothing. Streaming is the over-use of adding and dropping just to pad your scores.

I really think we have to temper this whole anti-add/drops thing. Nothing is wrong with adding and dropping for strategic purposes. Things happen in basketball. Players underperform. People like another player better than the one they have. It happens. You know what a league without any add drops is? An INACTIVE league. No one wants that.

I would like to say that if the Oden decision goes the way I'd hope, it is unfortunate that TheMan would get screwed again, since it seems like he's the only one who never gets a decision made in his favor (although I would like to note I did side with him on the Gallinari-Griffin issue).
