DETROIT / UTAH

Post#1 » by Piston Pete » Sun Jan 24, 2010 2:33 pm

UTAH GETS:
Rip and Prince

DET GETS:
Kirilenko/Korver/NYK pick

Why for Utah:
They get two guys who fit perfectly into their system, who are proven winners, and make a serious bid for the West this season.

Deron
Rip
Prince
Boozer/Milsap
Okur

Why for Detroit:
They get a shot in the arm to their rebuilding efforts. They gain some cap space, and get a decent pick.

I think they'd consider it if it meant they'd be getting Rip/Prince.

No, they wouldn't. Nothing short of LeBron would make them trade that pick. Rip/Tay don't come close.

Nice hyperbole. The pick is absolutely in play, but only for an upgrade. And I really think that Hamilton should remain a Piston until the end of his contract. Beyond that, really. Dumars should get to work on an extension right now.
