Injuries
Colin Cole has a fractured left forearm. Out for a while.
Charles Woodson: "It’s not broken, but it hurts,” he said. "It’s my big toe on my right foot. I did the same thing on my other foot once in Oakland.” Woodson said it was too early to tell whether he could play against Dallas
Mark Tauscher: Was taken out to rest his ankle. Says he should play next Thursday.
These are the only two (three) definite answers so far. Waiting on Driver, KGB, Rouse.

The Woodson injury is so frustrating because it happened on a punt return and almost everyone has wanted him out of that role for that very reason.

F*** Marc Davis, f*** Tim Donaghy and f*** David Stern as a staff, record label and as a mothaf**kin crew......and if you wanna be down with Stern then F*** YOU TOO!!! Stu Jackson f*** you too.....all you mothaf**kas F*** YOU TOO!!!!

From JSonline Pack blog...
UPDATE: Turns out KGB was in the locker room for a bit. Here's what he said, courtesy of colleague Ricky Braun: "I think everything’s going to be OK. It’s nothing serious. It should be OK with just a little rehab and ice and a lot of prayer. (Is it a sprain or what?) We don’t really know what it is, but whatever it is it’s nothing that the good Lord can’t take care of. I don’t know what it is. I wish I could tell you." (What happened on the play?) I was going after the quarterback and I think somebody hit me from behind and I felt my ankle, my knee. But it’s something that I feel like it’ll go away. It was just really sore to try to go back out there."

Jenkins/Pickett/Williams/Kampman, KGB on passing downs, Harrell as 6th DT. We're still OK even without Jolly and Cole, as long as KGB is good to go.
I agree IF Harrell is worth a crap. We need him to spell inside - otherwise its rookie FA Muir or Jenkins moving to DT which means KGB playing alot on run downs.
But what I meant about not good is all injuries not just DL. As I said in other thread DL is one (maybe only) place we can handle injuries.
Loosing Woodson is worst.
Then Tauscher
Then Jolly
Then Collins
Then Franks
Then Cole is least
IF Woodson and Tausch are 100% - the others don't matter much (unless Lee gets hurt)
Rouse has looked OK at S.

Rouse has looked OK at Safety? Rouse is clearly the best safety on this team, he not only has instincts but he can actually hold on to an interception. What I love about Rouse is that he has shown steady improvement in each game he has started, and I can't say it more, an intelligent safety who can hit and make plays elevates this defense alot. I will be extremely disappointed if Rouse leaves that starting line-up....Bigby should be the odd man out.

I agree with you. Guess I meant my OK to be more than it sounded.
Anyway when Collins returns I could see all 3 playing when we are playing a great TE. With his size Rouse could replace Popp who sucks at coverage and keep Rouse on the TE - sort of a hybrid BSLB/SS. This besides or in addition to the standard nickel/dime

Even though he plays limited snaps, KGB has had a great year and is very important to our success as a defense. That package of KGB/Williams/Jenkins/Kampman on passing downs and end of half/game has allowed the defense to drop seven in coverage and still pressure the QB.
Losing Woodson would be a bigger blow, but KGB is a close second. Time for Harrell to step up up and give the team some quality snaps with Jolly/Cole out. Unless Harrell is still hurt, i was disappointed to see Cole was active vs the Lions over Harrell.
We have been fortunate injury wise this season, it's a shame though that these guys all got hurt right before the most important game of the year. The Dallas game likely will decide home field advantage in the playoffs. Dallas having to visit Green Bay with it 15 degrees would make us a huge favorite to make the Super Bowl.

If KGB is out, I wonder if Montgomery or Hunter will take over for the Right DE on passing downs. I saw both of them Thursday in the backfield. But it is going to be way harder against that Dallas O-line.

Hunter will most likely get the first opportunity....I am guessing there will be almost no chance KGB or Woodson plays next Thursday....if the Packers are healthy come playoff time they will win the NFC, I like MM not risking the enitre season on one game.....I would also like to see Tramon Williams be elevated to nickel back ahead of Bush....he has unreal speed and a much better feel as a CB.

If playing either guy could greatly risk injuring them further, i also wouldn't play them. With that said, i do think you are underrating just how important the Cowboys game is, it's not just one game.
If i had to bet, i'd put good money on the winner of this game getting home field advantage. If we ended up playing Dallas on the road in the NFC title game, i'd put it at 50/50 we would beat them there. Have the game in Green Bay, i'd put it around 80/20 that the Packers are Super Bowl bound.
Whoever wins Thursday, they have a two game lead for home field which nearly locks it up given there are only five games left. Beating Dallas next week won't lock up a Super Bowl berth, but it puts the odds greatly in our favor.

For me, I won't be as excited about next weeks game if Woodson is not playing. If we end up losing without him I won't be too concerned. If we wend up winning without him I'll be borderline shocked.
He's huge, both of our shut down corners are. If either of them get injured come playoff time, I don't think we have much of a chance.

We need Woodson, however. If he can't play our secondary is boned.
i disagree a little bit, I thought Hunter in particular started out strong, but in the mid 3rd and 4th quarters MM really tried to rest the starters, many guys came out and the back-ups were toated, what I had seen during that period of time was absolutely no passs rush from Hunter or Montgomery....they may have been a little gassed and Montygomery has a huge knee brace, but when they couldn't get anywhere near Kitna he was scorching Bush and Walker.

^I think that we should re-sign Williams, but the better he keeps playing, the less likely I think that we will re-sign him. I just don't see TT giving him a deal that would make him a top 10 paid DT that Williams is probably looking for. If it came down to it I wouldn't mind franchising him. Make him earn his guareneteed money for one more year with the Packers, and give Harrell a chance to develop. Then it least we won't have another Hunt on our hands.

Which is more likely?
Williams = Hunt
Harrell - Reynolds
scary
I think Corey is much > Hunt. Better character.
Harrell? Just don't know. Probably a good kid. TT would not draft an ass. Question seems to be durability and overall conditioning.
