Yahoo! Bosh/James/Wade poll

Post#1 » by oakley34 » Fri Feb 5, 2010 4:05 pm

Similar to last week's thread someone created on a Sportsnet poll, here's a poll that opened on Yahoo's page. It asks: Which free agent is most likely to switch teams? (Bosh/James/Wade)

Personally, I don't see any of them leaving their respective teams, but if I had to vote, I'd say Wade. Miami has practically their entire roster coming off the books, and will likely wait on Wade's decision before trying to sign players. Therein lies the problem. Wade won't really know what Miami team he is re-upping with.

Anyway, here's the link to the Yahoo! page below and current results...

Does anyone here really think that Wade or James are MORE likely to switch teams than Bosh?

I certainly don't.

Why, what would that change, besides the poll results that don't mean anything anyway.

Yeah, and how is it any different than creating a thread that asks why Reggie Evans is posting cryptic messages on twitter? Finding out won't make Toronto a top-4 seed, will it?

Don't take things too seriously. Everything here is entertainment.

Based on the reality of the situation and what Bosh himself has said, I certainly do. Unless you think Bosh has been lying about wanting to "be the man", wanting his $130 mil payday, being in a city he is comfortable in, being on a team where he can win and be competetive, etc.

If he was lying about all of that then you're probably right.

Where is the "none of the above" option?

(I voted for Wade though.)

I have yet to see somebody provide a credible theory why Bosh would be the most likely of the three to switch teams. The prevailing assumption among many speculators seems to be that Bosh doesn't want to play in Canada, and there is absolutely nothing to back that claim up.

Bosh wants to play with one of them? Seems like the best, most plausible theory to me. We can say that he likes it here all we want, but the media glaze alone from that pairing would vault him into the Hall of Fame.
