To get something rather than nothing?

I don't think Amare will try to screw the Suns, so if the Suns ask him to do a sign and trade, I think he'd agree.

I think so too. If he wants to leave, he can do a sign & trade to get the most money like he wishes.

I love how much the Heat fans in here pay attention to whats going on. You all seem so sure Wade will be a member of the Heat next year. I can easily see him bolting to hometown Chicago. The Heat front office made promises to him this year that STILL havent been fufilled. Id say theres only a 70% chance Wade is in a Heat uniform next year, while id give Amare a 50% chance of being a Sun next year. Bosh nor LBJ are likely to land in Miami. So the Heat can overpay JJ, Richard Jefferson or Ginobili, have fun guys, your not in as good of a position as you may dream.

Question from a Bulls fan here....

What do you think Sarver/Kerr would think of a deal based around Tyrus & Brad Miller + 1st rd pick & exprirings we just got from the Bucks for Salmons to fill in the rest to make it work cap-wise....??? Is that better than not trading him at all??

And ur predictions are based on? Look, we're not the team that shopped their "star" around 2 years in a row. Granted, wade doesnt have that much help but at least we respect him enough as a franchise player to not shop him around.

Who cares, its the truth, and they obviously like to talk about stealing Amare in the off-season, I dont see why not?

I know I posted this before, but now i have the RealGM wiretap links! :D

http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/64808/20100217/knicks_trying_to_finish_t_mac_deal_trade_for_tyrus/
Simultaneously, Walsh is working to swing a trade with the Bulls centered around Tyrus Thomas and Al Harrington.

Mike D'Antoni may be driving the Knicks' interest in Thomas. The coach is apparently enthralled with the idea of plugging the athletic talents of Thomas into his uptempo system.

Chicago is unlikely to extend the qualifying offer to Thomas during the offseason should they not be able to trade him.

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi ... r_in_week/
The Bulls checked in with Phoenix about Stoudemire earlier in the week, according to a source, but have been largely quiet.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=ylnkgjy

NYK gets: Tyrus
CHI gets: Amare/Jefferies
PHX gets: Hill/Johnson/Miller/CHI 1st/NYK 2nd

:D

It makes sense right?

NY gets the PF Dantoni wants (Tyrus) and they finally get rid of Jeffries contract.

CHI gets Amare to help lure Wade in as a FA. They take on Jeffries (expiring next year), but its ok since they just dumped Salmons (which killed the McGrady trade).

PHX gets 2 promising (JJ Hickson potential) rookie PF's. Hill was the guy that GS was supposed to draft for us in the GS draft debacle. Johnson was a guy we were looking at drafting (we worked him out more then any other prospect before the draft), but we selected Clark as he was supposed to have been drafted before us. Miller gives us a big expiring and we get 1, maybe 2 draft picks.

:D :D :D

Im sure if the Suns had a choice financially, we wouldnt be shopping him around. If Wade went around demanding more money than hes worth, I could easily see him getting shopped.

They won't take on Jefferies...because it makes the whole Salmon trade pointless...

Id love to see Amare go to Chicago though, then Wade follow him in the offseason, stick it to Pat Riley for getting a little too cocky.

No it doesnt. Pretty much if they didnt do that Salmons trade, they would be paying for both Salmons/Jeffries. They trade Salmons for an expiring, and then replace his contract for Jeffries. So the go from Salmons 6 mill next year to Jeffries 6 mill, not both (as would have been the case if they didnt trade Salmons). I know it sounds confusing, but once you understand it, you will see why the Bulls/Bucks trade actually helps my deal! :D

Please? That would be awesome.

Anyways, hi Suns fans! These Amare threads look really really long... so could anyone fill me in on what the latest news is? Does it still look like Amare is getting moved?

I wouldn't go that far but they have about the same worth. Chi pick is the best part of the trade.

i take hill over hickson easily

he's bigger, more athletic, already has a sweet jumper, and already has some post moves

he might turn out to be mikki moore but id much rather take my chances with him

yea the chi pick is my favorite bit
