If stoudemire talked to sarver and says he thinks he is safe then I believe he is staying. Sarver would have to be an **** to deal him after giving him that kind of reassurance after the past couple of weeks amares gone through

FanHouse did ask Stoudemire again. He said nothing has changed, and he's still leaning toward not opting out.

"I think everything still remains the same,'' he said. "You guys can take my old comments and use those.''

theres still 12 hours to go :P

lol.

I obviously need sleep. I said, "Where hear that." WTF

Mr. Sun wrote:
DALLAS -- Phoenix star forward Amar'e Stoudemire confirmed to FanHouse on Wednesday night he won't be traded by Thursday's deadline.

"I think I'm pretty much safe,'' Stoudemire said after a talk with owner Robert Sarver following the Suns' 107-97 loss at Dallas. "I feel good. But either way I was going to feel all right.''

It became apparent Stoudemire wouldn't be dealt after Cleveland, which had been pursuing the big man before getting tired of waiting, agreed to a trade earlier Wednesday in which it will get forward Antawn Jamison in a three-team deal.

After that, two league sources said Stoudemire would be staying, and Suns coach Alvin Gentry did nothing to dispute that before Wednesday's game. It probably also hasn't hampered matters that Stoudemire reiterated to FanHouse he's still leaning toward not opting out of his contract this summer.

"I don't think that was ever an issue that we were looking to trade (Stoudemire),'' Gentry said. "People always make phone calls. They think somebody's available, and the guy's a great player... Quite naturally, anybody would field phone calls.. I don't think anybody went in saying, 'We're going to trade Amar'e.'''

No one is gonna give anything of substantial value for a rental Amare when he can bolt this summer. Amare isn't even worth the max. Phoenix's chance of getting a real return for Amare disappeared the past offseason.

We HAVE to find a taker for Jason Richardson.

When is the deadline, 12pm or 1pm Pacific?

That is going to be a tough sell. I don't think anyone wants his salary. Maybe next year, though.

He'll be out before Amare walks. Now it all makes sense.

I would rather bring Jerry back, but he wants full control. Barkley would just keep calling our current team "turrible". I think it would bring the team down. :(

I think the suns have been trying to dump j-rich for a while now. I think this is not the suns we grew up seeing. Sarver has changed the culture. If we had colangelo, there was always a plan.. no one really questioned his desire to win a title but with sarver... I dnt know about that. Im excited to see some of the guys we drafted starting to contribute but I am still weary of Sarver's true intentions.

Just Chris Paul? Phew
By then, we'll have lost Joe Johnson, Kurt Thomas, Shawn Marion, and Amare gone for nothing. Well, for FFF (Future Financial Flexibility), actually. This imaginary FA we gonna sign should be damn good, to make up for all those losses. Twice as good as Michael Jordan, at least
