It's one thing to try and pat your stats to get that one rebound, it's another thing to be visibly upset at teammates for taking away a rebound, and begging the other teams' rebounders to let them get the rebound to add to their count. Blatche wasn't just trying to get a triple dub, he was desperate.

Yeah I mean if the guy's aware of it and he starts working harder to get the board then whatever, but the way Blatche went about it was almost embarrassing. Like what difference would it have made really, no one would reflect on what a great performance it was, they'd be talking about how he begged Yi to let him grab one, or ran up and down the court like it was OT in game 7 or how he got pissed off at Cartier Martin etc.

I remember Steph Curry needed 1 rebound to get a triple-double. He didnt even try to get that rebound and then with 2 seconds left in the game someone missed a FT and the ball bounced back to Curry. You get a Triple-Double when you deserve it. Andray Blatche = Ugly Triple-double bitch.

As a Wizards fan, I think this is just another embarrassing moment you can add to the list of embarrassing moments in Blatche's career. I mean, c'mon man...grow the f&*$ up. Please. Pretty please.

It's double-embarrassing that people on the Wiz board actually defend this guy to the death because he's "talented". And if you call him out for it, you're a hater.

Blatch is worse. LOL at Yi like no man I'm not gonna let you take the rebound.

Ricky Davis knew what he was doing didn't really count, I think he did it more to be funny.

I just wonder how many here actually play sports. It's their job, but they can still have fun and goof around sometimes. I remember one time last season in a soccer game I had 2 goals with about 5 minutes to play and I was hustling like crazy to get that hat trick. Everyone on my team was passing to me....it was fun, and felt good to get it.

Wow, AB hustles and goes crazy to try and get a trip-dub? Good for him.

Ricky Davis' was hilarious....

Uhm, everything you just listed is exactly what I DIDN'T illuminate about his actions. Trying like crazy to get that last board is fine (though you should be putting in a lot of effort ALWAYS for the board), but trying to get the other team to collude in it so you can get it? I play sports, and if I had to be HELPED to a milestone by my opponent, it wouldn't be worth it.

What's is even more funny about Davis' "TD" was that in one month after that game Ricky had 2 more games with 10+ in points and assists but 9 rebounds. The TD gods curssed him for what he did.

BLATCHE. what a pathetic basketball player. i can't take any of his stats seriously from here on out. if i were a wizards fan id just give up and root for the thunder or a team that wont trade away the 5th pick in the draft for a one year rental of randy foye and a 3 pt specialist. now they have a talented power forward who turns out to be the ricky davis of pfs. i grant wizards fans permission to follow hockey instead, one of the few instances ive allowed someone to watch such a weak sport

It's funny because while Blatche did have an awesome game (13 assists from a center is truly remarkable), no one is talking about his amazing game, but about how he was chasing for a meaningless statistic.

BLATCHE was pathetic. But you have to remember that he's just 23.

it has nothing to do with his age, it has everything to do with who he is as a person.

Has nothing to do with age. Durant is 21 and you would never see him pull some **** like that.

And you think he'll act the same say if he was 40 with a wealth of experience as a player and person?

Ok, so you list one quiet, reserved player and now that is the norm of young 20 yr olds?

I'm not saying all 23 yr olds act this (clearly doesn't) but he's young and immature. Cut him some slack. He was (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

no, because at 40 you're not trying to establish yourself in the league. when you hit your early 20s you become the person youll be for the rest of your life. shaq, for example, isnt more mature than when he was in his early 20s. tim duncan isn't more mature than his early spurs' self. blatche will always be the reproachful blatche that attempted that triple double.

Shaq is clearly a rare example and you know it.

How much more mature Duncan can get from his early Spurs' days?

I find it hard that an much older Blatche would attempt the same thing.
