Come on, Melo is full of it. He wasn't hurt. He was upset that he didn't get the call and he was pouting by laying on the floor. The officials didn't buy the BS so they let play continue. Melo continuted to just lay there to show his frustration.

He was never knocked out. If he was knocked out cold like that, do you think he would enter the game again? Do you think the Doctors would allow him to stay in? No way.

I saw a similar thing with a player down and the refs didn't notice/stop play then either, just 2 or 3 weeks ago to the day, Haslem stepped on Carlos Delfino's neck going for a rebound and Delfino was on the ground in obvious pain not even moving the entire time that the Bucks went on offense and somehow no one noticed, the team didn't call a timeout, they failed on offense and then when Miami was coming back up the court the refs noticed and stopped play.

Delfino missed a couple games after that so his injury was a bit more serious than Melo's :P

I was in the stands and furious that no one noticed our guy was on the floor after being stepped on.

I was at the game it is was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. I don't see how if he blacked out they would have let him return five minutes later.

A Melo thread wouldn't be a Melo thread without the haters. He could be lying in a hospital bed right now in a coma and they would claim he is faking it.

Not sure how this proves JR doesn't care? The coach could have called a time out. The officials could have stopped play. Another payer could have called time out. Guess none of them cared.

That was probably the weirdest thing I've ever seen in an NBA game. It's like he was invisible.

You can see a similar Delfino on the ground here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_yPje1pI7w

About 1:20 in but the video doesn't show that play continued up and then back down the floor just like it did for Melo.

I just don't understand how some member of the coaching staff in both incidents isn't getting the attempt of the officials and stopping play. Seems like a major safety concern to have a player lying on the ground.

lots of OKC fans are idiots at that game. all booing and yelling GET UP to someone that obviously hurt his neck and was lying on the floor. If it was Durant they would all be standing and crying. douchebags

alot of ppl here are making it seem like blacking out is a serious injury. hold ur breath for 30 seconds and u'll black out. then go run around. i bet u feel fine. lack of oxygen or serious fatigue causes athletes to pass out all the time. its not a serious or damaging aliment. it doesnt look like kd hit melo so him passing out (if it was legit) seems to be fatigue related.

I just held my breath for 30 seconds and most definitely did not pass out.

I'm pretty sure Melo just hit his head on Durant's skinny ass hip bone.

I was at the game and near the incident. Carmelo was completely pouting and whining. The refs saw this, and decided they weren't going to put up with it and play went on. Carmelo, who must've been clearly embarrassed at the degree to which he looked like an ass, then fakes being hurt to save face and make the fans looks like the @$$sholes.

Melo goes to the locker room for a span of about 3 minutes, and comes right back into the game. It was clearly a faked incident.

Melo was pouting. He didn't black out. He was pouting like a little.......

The doctor would be fired today if he put Denvers 100 million dollar investment back on the court with a nuerological problem.

Hook-line-and sinker.

My boss just told me something I didn't like so I ignored him. He got really mad at me so I told him I blacked out so I wouldn't look stupid. See, anybody can do it. Opps, got to go, I'm about to black out again.

i dont know guys.. why would anyone lay there for almost a minute to prove a point. its not like hes making a point in doing so. if hes faking the only thing he accomplishes is looking stupid. he may have been faking but im kinda leaning towards this being a legit black out.

He was upset with the call. He went down acting like he got injured then it got awkward. It got to the point where he realized if he got up it would just look weird/fake so he faked being seriously injured which turned out to be even worse.

Kind of like when you realize you're walking the wrong direction and instead of just turning around where people will realize you're an idiot for going the wrong way, you pull out a cell phone and act like you just got a text to meet someone somewhere.

I'm on the "I believe he faked it" crowd.

^ ya i understand what ur saying but theres a point that he went WAY beyond. he was down but as the play continued thats when most ppl would have conceded and got up. by him staying down, he made the situation very awkward if he was faking. dont get my wrong, im not saying he was legitimately blacked out im just looking at all aspects.
