I glad I'm not the only who went WTF at that. Playing possum? Are you f'ing serious? How many players have DIED on the court due to sudden heart attacks? The guy didn't even move when he went down and you are accusing him of playing possum? WOW.

Carmelo, who must've been clearly embarrassed at the degree to which he looked like an ass, then fakes being hurt to save face and make the fans looks like the @$$sholes.

Melo goes to the locker room for a span of about 3 minutes, and comes right back into the game. It was clearly a faked incident.

Funny how the video shows how wrong you are. He runs into Durant, grimaces in pain and falls to the ground and lays prone without making any facial expressions. You can get knocked out and come back into a game. I've had it happen to me playing baseball when I was running to second on a bad throw to first and the first baseman threw the ball and hit me in the back of the head. I was out for ten minutes on the dirt in the infield and stayed in the game after they revived me.

I think it's obvious he blacked out by the fact that he didn't move when play resumed on that end of the court. If he was ok, then he would have moved or showed some type physical reaction to players almost running over him. Dude was out.

I'm a carmelo fan and watching the game live I thought he was faking it, but if you actually look at it when his head hits durants stomach he grimaces and actually falls out. Plus it was period where he wasnt even moving I mean not even flinching. Its really hard to lay on the ground still, after running up and down the court over and over

LMAO @ the guys saying he's faking. There's players running and jumping not even two feet away from him and he doesn't even move .. he doesn't even flinch. Dude was in LaLa Land.

Really, JR Smith was stupid, but announcers were damn stupid as well. "They're gonna play! Lets go!... What is he (Carmelo) doing..." and then "oh so scary they were gonna play around him..." Seriously...

If he didn't fake it, I would have some real concerns if I was a Nuggets fan. If he blacked out during the game he should not have been allowed back three minutes later. I really can't see how any medical staff would allow a player that either got knocked out or blacked out back so quickly.

read wat other posters have been saying. blacking out is really not that serious of a medical aliment.

Weird knockout, didn't seem like he took much of a hit to the head, but honestly the smallest things can really hurt you.

Even weirder that OKC, the refs, and JR Smith all just played on like nothing happened when Melo was down and out, WTF?

I think the biggest sign that he wasn't faking it was that he didbn't move when people were jumping around him playing. I mean, seriously. You can fake being hurt on the empty side of the court, but when people (dumbass individuals like JR Smith) are jumping playing and you're laying down... he didn't even move. And we've seen this guy legitmently have a history of flinching and runnin away (yeah I made a NY Fight joke). There is no way this is fake.

I'm with the "He was blacked out for a minute" crowd...

I find the Chauncey Billups quote on JR Smith hilarious.

I didnt realive the Melo hate was this great but this is ridiculous.

Melo drives and gets hit in the head...causing the travel.
He didnt even react to the perceived bad call (which is what 99.9% of players do) but instead he instantly collapses and doesnt move.

On top of that he has a teammate who is standing over him waiting for the initial ( I will help you up grab) and he sees that Melo isnt moving.

He is obviously concerned so much so that he doesnt even realize that they decided to start play and has to run back to the other end of the court.

To basically hammer it home, you have a bouncing ball and size 15s extremely close to Melo and he doesnt even flinch.

At the 32 second mark you can hear someone scream, "J.R."

lmao @ JR trying to take advantage of the 4 on 5 disadvantage.

SMH @ him pointing to Melo after the whistle, blaming his travel call on a dead man.
