Rynnas Looking Forward To Joining Toronto

Post#1 » by Brew666 » Thu Apr 22, 2010 5:42 pm

Anyone know anything about this goalie?

Tor Star article says that he will start with the Marlies but are we looking at a Rynnas Gustavsson duo as our future goaltender? Or is he just added depth the position?

Rynnas has fantastic size from what I've heard (6'5). Not sure where I heard it, but I remember someone likening him to Pekka Rinne. He's apparently also very raw at the moment and will take time to develop. Should battle for the starting job with the Marlies next season against Reimer and hopefully Gustavsson/Rynnas can be our young goaltending duo in the future.

only way he is traded is if Gustavson becomes an elite goalie and the Leafs need assets for Rynnas. Other wise, he is younger than Gustavson and can develop for a while, no rush. Burke will not move him for nothing, remember Tuuka Rask. Leafs learned their lesson....... i hope
