interesting bits I took from it was Gar hinting at a significant trade coming, and Pax leaving Deng out when talking about NEW cornerstones Rose & Noah. 1 + 1 =

Hinrich may or may not be dealt, but I'm more confident than ever that the Bulls will definitely try and dump Lu. He had a solid season, and re-built his value to the point where a team with no chance in hell at getting a star, yet have the cap room (MIN), could be willing to absorb that contract.

It's excusable behavior.

Not only is there "a way" he does it, but its the absolute most logical thing to do for the good of the organization. Also, I was under the impression from this thread that he conspicuously did not mention VDN in his apology, not that it matters.

That would be the least logical thing he could do. You don't take responsibility for something you didn't do. If Vinny pushed Paxson, then they could smear Vinny's name easily.

He began by apologizing to Vinny, but later said he personally apologized to Gar and Jerry.

I agree, I have no idea what to believe happened.

Correct. This is what I've been saying all along. First, we don't know what happened. Second, there are two stories. Third, and probably most importantly, both of the stories can be read to be completely consistent with one another.

I think Pax and Vinny were dating after that Pax mea culpa.

Minnesotta will not take Deng's contract.

Why would you hold a press conference for yelling at someone?

You're right that you could read that into it. We've also been told as much in the past, as reports have been that the Bulls dream scenario this offseason is to pull off a S&T using one of our larger contracts and then sign another major player outright if they can.

Hopefully, they can pull it off, but I have my major doubts...and not because of how I feel about our front office but because moving Deng would be very difficult for anybody.

You are really good at predictions.

look for Bernie to assume the interim role cuz Gar can't find the unemployed super coach he's looking for. book it.

Hasn't Bernie already been let go since the Bulls did not pick up the third year team option on him?

Why do people think he'd make a good GM? He had to be told by management to play Rose in the 4th quarter, and he couldn't adhere to the minute-restriction on Noah. He doesn't strike me as a good decision maker, or show the ability to adapt well to a changing environment. When things get tough, he reverts back to cliche lines, such as "keep playing hard, push the ball, run the floor." I don't see any qualities that point to him being good in a front office, either. He handled the rumors with grace, so maybe he could be a yes-man, spokesman type personell in the front office.

the team is much better than now than 2 years ago. and the altercation was not the reason he got fired.

Vinny was interviewed just now after Pax's words, outside the Berto Center, and said he's proud of the players, fans, and wanted to thank the Bulls for the opportunity. Same vibe as Pax it seems.

Adieu, my friend  I hated you as a coach, but you were a decent guy.

Are you serious? We've known VDN was going to be fired at the end of this season since December. Why on earth would you think something that happened barely a month ago was the reason he got fired?
