I'd probably be against throwing the players into the RC/FA draft, because many of us probably wouldn't have traded away this year's picks if we had known guys like Pau and Wade, among others, would be in the pot.

Touche - I'd prefer the disbanding team members to be kept from the RC/FA draft (unless of course they end up undrafted in the separate draft.

I'm fine anyway you guys want to play it. It would seem most fair to me to just disband their teams and throw their players into a draft that the replacement managers get to participate in. The replacement draft would be separate from the rookie/FA draft.

Have we lost more than one manager?

Actually, I think it's just Coady that's out...though we were wondering about the interest/activity level of TK.

Hopefully Kohanz accepts my trade offer before he leaves.

Looks like Antwan Jameson just became the Cavalier's star player.

My apologies to Kohanz then for the misunderstanding.

Theman, I'm not really interested in moving any of those guys except for Diaw. I wouldn't mind getting a good 2 guard.

I have a pretty darn good set of 2 guards, including Eric Gordon and Marcus Thornton...

DATES:

Rosters to 15: July 2nd [by midnight]
Lottery: July 3rd
Dispersal Lottery: July 3rd
RC/FA draft: July 17th
Dispersal draft: July 24th

I'm thinking about these dates... with the dispersal lottery being very slightly favoured to the bottom teams.

Thoughts?

Looks good Craig. I do have a question about the dispersal lottery. We know Coady's team is going into the pot, but who else? If we lose only 1, we're an odd league (an odd league indeed).

So we have decided to have a dispersal draft? Is a new manager coming in or are we dropping a team?

Also, we usually do the draft a lot later in the year. Usually after preseason has started.

An earlier RC/FA draft and Dispersal draft works great for those of us who see a sharp increase in work responsibilities in August/September (incl. me  )

Since we are talking about dispersing Stanford's team and bringing in a new manager is a dispersal draft would be sort of ugly I propose the following.

I will divide my team into two teams. Veterans on one, young players on the other. To prevent collusion will be banned from trading with myself. Since both squads will clearly be weakened by the split it seems fair.

Interesting, but I'm not sure that's less confusing than dispersing Stanford's team and having an expansion draft...
