Re: The Stanley Cup Playoffs
This will be an incredible series. I think Philly is a tough match up for The Hawks, but I believe the Hawks depth and superior top end talent will be the difference in this series.
The most important skater in this series: Chris Pronger.

Re: The Stanley Cup Playoffs
Looking forward to seeing whether or not Marion Hossa wants to break the curse... Will he come out flying, or will he look as if he doesn't want to touch the puck in fear that he'll lose again? We shall see!

Re: The Stanley Cup Playoffs
If Hossa doesn't touch the puck it won't be because he's afraid of losing.
Maybe you're being tongue-in-cheek, but I just wanna make sure that's clear. If Hossa doesn't touch the puck it'll be because the Flyers shutting him down or Marian's own ineptitude.

Re: The Stanley Cup Playoffs
Hossa is really overdue for a good finals. I'm not saying he's been bad in the playoffs so far but he just hasn't been able to put the puck in the net. He has done the little things well though like killing penalties or winning the battles for the puck. And his goal drought has been masked by the good play by his teammates.

Haha, it was extremely tongue in cheek... however I think if you shut Hossa down as the Flyers, you don't shut their team down. They've got so much depth on their team, it's ridiculous. The only questionmark remaining is Niemi... can he do it all in the Stanley Cup finals? We shall see.

I just would rather have it be known as "the flyers triumph" rather than "the bruins epic choke"

Re: The Stanley Cup Playoffs
Haha, I figured that was the reasoning behind it and I can understand why you'd like to see Philly win. Philly beat the Habs, yes... but I'd still rather see Chicago take it as opposed to Philly. I just hate the Flyers, and their fan base (for the most part). Their Mayor is a big time douche too, lol.

I'm rooting for Philly too. Because Kimmo Timonen is a former Admiral.
Oh yeah, and because I hate Chicago.

Meh, whatever, we don't want your smelly Nashville fandom on our side anyways.

Re: The Stanley Cup Playoffs
Our defense has been poor but for the love of God can the Hawks get a call in this game? Seabrook got nailed in the head by Pronger's (I think) stick and they didn't call anything.

I can't stress enough how terrible these refs have been against the Hawks. It's just awful.

Re: The Stanley Cup Playoffs
I dunno about you, but if I'm the Flyers, I'm ROYALLY pissed at that missed call that resulted in the 6th and winning goal. Personally I'm happy to see the Hawks win it, but regardless that was a horrible missed call.

Re: The Stanley Cup Playoffs
They missed so many calls in this game against the Blackhawks that they really have nothing to complain about. Whatever I'm happy with the win. This was a game we shouldn't have won.

Re: The Stanley Cup Playoffs
Going back and watching the last play, I'm not sure where the missed call is that you're referring to. Seabrook made a nice play to keep the puck in the zone and it never went out.

Yeah I watched it a few times to and I'm not sure where there was a penalty that should have been called

I think he was referring to the puck going out of the zone because it was close but Seabrook did keep it in.
