It's pretty good lol.
OK so maybe I am taking it as a little bit of a good sign.
But imagine if he was handed a Bulls hat and said "Greatness"? They'd be stitching up his jersey over in Chicago.
We're not there, yet.

Chris **** probably bought the home and away already.
Hey, I wonder if Bron asked ABC to cut out that part about the Knicks? Because it wasn't in the original interview that aired several weeks ago. But suddenly last night they put it back in.
Hmmmm.
Probably nothing to it -- it was just Knicks banter so they probably thought it was biased or nothing to show given time constraints, but I do wonder why it was removed at first.

If that happens a Favors and Lee front court with Bropez off of the bench cna make them very tough but I just don't see them becoming true contenders unless Favors can surpass Dwight as the NBA's best big man.
I hear ya.
I don't think the Knicks and Nets are interested in being a 'make the playoffs yearly and be content' type of team however. I think both teams know there's money to be lost once the Nets move to Brooklyn. While cablevision/MSG will make their money from other revenue streams, i think walsh/dolan and thorn/prokorov know what's at stake in terms of the revenue the team on the court can generate. While every NBA team wants to win a championship, both the Nets and Knicks will be battling it out to see who can bring one to NY first. So both organizations plans may be so far from anything any of us have believed or written.
So much has been said about the Knicks talent, Nets talent, other team's talent...we don't know what'll go down before and on draft day then through the FA period and thereafter. It'll be interesting to see what both teams do and who'll be left on the roster once training camp starts.

Does anyone have like optimistic and pessimistic days on whether LeBron is coming here or not? Some days, I feel like he's coming and then other times...like today for instance...I just think of him having to go back to Cleveland as a visiting player and him getting booed out of the building. I just can't see that or him wanting that to happen. He's made it a point that he loves to be loved everywhere he goes and for him to be booed in his hometown would be crushing.

LeBron's whole world changes when he signs this contract. Do you think he will be warmly welcomed in Madison Square Garden if he re-signs with the Cavs, heaven forbid (note - 0% this happens) signs with the Chicago Bulls? Hell, he won't be welcome in Yankee Stadium with his Yankee hat anymore.
But yeah. I see your point.

Most great players get booed in NY, though....it would be nothing new.

Exactly. Someone will not be happy. Actually everybody but the city that gets him will feel jilted.

Loop wrote:No one will blame Lebron for going to Chicago -- the best team w/capspace -- anymore than any place else. In fact it's harder to stomach Lebron going to NY to give them a championshiop when your own home town needs way more help than NY.
How would going to New York and winning a championship be any harder to stomach than him going to Chicago and winning one? The Knicks have certainly gone without a championship longer than the Bulls. They haven't won a championship my entire lifetime. The Knicks fans had to deal with Scott Layden, Isiah Thomas, James Dolan, and years and years of trading their first round picks away, including their 2009 top 10 pick (Hill). The highest pick they've had since Ewing was the #6 pick (Gallinari) in the 2008 draft, I believe. James has been in Cleveland for 7 years, and now they have no coach, GM, cap space, or any real means of improving their team with the age (& salary size/length) of their currently players. It's like Kevin Garnett said, "you can't get those years back." (paraphrasing)
As for the Chicago is the "best team w/ capspace" comment, the NBA is certainly in a sad state if the Bulls are truly the best team with capspace. Good thing it's not true.
I think the Heat have a better shot (Riley, Wade, South Beach, and potential to add 2 more MAX players) at LeBron than the Bulls. I currently think the Knicks are the frontrunners at the moment (adding all the factors, not just current talent-level), although that will likely change if he can't convince Bosh or Stoudemire or Wade to join him in NYC. The delusions of grandeur the Bulls' fans have for Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah won't make much difference in James' decision, IMO. The Clippers probably have more overall talent than the Bulls, especially if Griffin comes in and plays like a pre-injury Amar'e.
Even if James to NY makes sense to me, who knows what decision he will actually make. His desire to bring his home-state a championship might outweigh everything else. If he goes to any team other than the Cavs (and the Knicks, of course) I will be rooting against him as much as I root again Kobe (and that's A LOT). In fact, for the first time ever, I might even root for Bryant's team if both he and James met in the NBA Finals.
It's hard being a Knicks fan...

Oakley responded to a Knick's fans comment:
@Alex2260 The fans deserve EVERYTHING. Thru thick & think NY fans r the truth more than ANY OTHER CITY.
http://twitter.com/CharlesOakley34
Still, not sure what the team itself did to hurt him, I thought New York was plenty fair with Oak.

Lebron should sign a one-year deal with Cleveland and make everyone go through this all again next year.

Asking this for future reference...
If we do in fact land LeBron, and bandwagoners come to the forum, am I allowed to bait them a little?

Your username...just evokes so many bad memories. Seriously.
Ask for a name change for the new era. I'd rather you name yourself Duhon than Starbury.

Why would I be jealous of an inferior organization that hasn't won anything in 30+ years?
