Nothing wrong with it, I just wonder which is plan A.

I really, really hope Cousins is our plan A. I think some people are confusing a laid-back personality for head issues. He's not the greatest at interviews, but neither is Tyreke. Either way, I seriously think he has Shaq-like potential, and you can't pass that up.

And for the record, I really appreciate all the inside info you guys are sharing with us, and I understand if you guys don't want to compromise your trust with your sources, so even just a little morsel of info is still appreciated.

Good report

 Soooorrryy *Smacks self*

If we are so interested in moving down, or consider it such a viable option, it doesn't mix with our apparent love for Cousins. Either we love him, or we'll move down. Which is more likely?

I really don't know. I see the love as a smokescreen.

Bringing in Whiteside, Monroe, and inviting the other players they did makes me think they have 5 guys in mind and they'll decide after Saturday.

I dont' know why the Warriors would move up to draft a player that won't even workout for them.

Personally, I think Cousins is there at 6 and they draft him anyway w/o having to move up.

That would be pretty disappointing...hopefully your intel is wrong on this one and the Kings truly are in love with Cousins and take him if available.

You honestly think the Kings are that in love with Monroe or Whiteside that they'd pass on Cousins?

Honestly, from everything I'm reading, which, you know, if just all the basic they-want-us-to-see-this info, I gotta agree with skaterdude... nothing wrong with having a backup plan in case someone jumps. And then again, you've got like two weeks left... even if Cousins IS your man, there isn't any harm in working your 2nd and 3rd favorite prospects out again. But thats just a gut feeling, based on nothing but my own hopes/desires.

Update guys:

PW wants Cousins and is said to want Monroe as well. But Cousins is his first choice no doubt.

Coachie like Cousins alot but mind is telling him Monroe

Maloofs like Cousins, considers him a franchise player. quoted saying "We could finally have our Kobe & Shaq"

Interesting thing about PW. I'm guessing one of Landry JT Hawes could be on the move if its up to PW. More than likey another piece would have to be added with one of those guys. I'm guessing Donte would be the odd man out. But very interesting to look into! Cousins AND Monroe?? :o

Future lineup of:

Cousins
Monroe
Casspi
SG
Evans

drools!

I could see that if we get Cousins, Hawes or JT could be out before the trade deadline, but Landry? Nahhhh....

I could buy that if the Kings think he's going to ask for a MONSTER pay raise next summer. I mean, if Landry's going to be asking for a $10m/year contract then maybe it's a better idea to get value for him now.

I'd actually be surprised if they traded JT quite frankly. He's not undersized (like Landry), he can play both frontcourt positions, and he's a rebounding machine--something the Kings have always had trouble with. Most importantly: he's signed for cheap for 2 more years as opposed to Landry's 1 more year.

Possible, but unless Landry puts up 18/8 starting this year, no one in the NBA would give him anything close to that deal. Plus, Landry seems like too "down to the earth" to pull that, but I guess we'll see.

I think that even if the Kings pick Cousins, which is 100% possible, they may not be intending to keep him.

The organization is torn with varying degrees as to the players. Cousins is not consensus #1.

Sounds good, now you just need to get GP's thoughts on DMC

^^ Because its ultimately GP's descision, it won't be easy nor do I think its possible as yet to get his thoughs. If asked he'll only give general points on a particular players i.e how they'd fit on the team and what he'd think they can do etc.

Saturday cant come fast enough

This Dally has thrown everything into a loop for our draft considerations. Good lord, this is even less predictable than last year.

May have a late addition to the Saturday match-up.

If he shows up its because he's pulling out of another teams 2nd workout (and declined the Kings the first time).

I'm assuming Davis, Sanders, or Patterson (pulled out of the first workout, right?) then.

No. Has worked out. Originally turned down the invite back, but due to other circumstances may be coming Saturday.
