Actually if it means giving up Belinelli in this deal or a separate deal i'm for it. I would prefer Rudy over Beli anyday. At least the guy has proven he can earn his playing time with solid play.

at this point, i think you almost have to stay away from euros for the sake of staying away from them. you can't ignore it unless you're talking about the cream of the crop. and even then. there are so many fans in toronto disenchanted with the status quo, man, you can feel the hate when you go out for a coffee. colangelo would conceivably be sacrificing this player's (fernandez or whoever) career by throwing him into the fire here. it's not even stubborn anymore; it's selfish and stupid.

and man, i like fernandez! but toronto is not the place for him right now. in fact, i'd probably do this deal if i were any other team- i hate this draft! i see stiffs up and down the board. the gap btwn 13 & 22 is not material. who do you want, robert swift and saer sene? = petty cash = not worth losing sleep over. but i would still object to this trade cuz fernandez would hit the floor with a bullseye on his back that has nothing to do with him.

the raps are in need of a real change in strategy. this would be just more of the same.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen as part of a bigger deal....

New York and Chicago supposedly are both interested in Fernandez. Do the trade with Por (belli and pick) then flip Fernadez for 17 pick.

End result Belli and 13 for 17 and 22

(or instead of chicago new york for chandler)
